With the continuous development of education,and as a branch of education,school sports has received unprecedented attention.Effective development of physical curriculum in school can not only promote the development of the students physical health,improve students' immunity,but also can cultivate students' strong will and adventurous spirit.What's more it helps students to shape healthy personality,develop interpersonal relationships.It is beneficial for students to set up sound outlook on the world and life,values.Therefore,the development of school physical education is closely related to every student's bright future.School sports,as the foundation of social sports and competitive sports,is an important step in the strategy of sports power and therefore becomes more significant.However,there are still many factors about the current school sports hindering students' passion to participate in sports,thus sports workers should vividly understand students' thoughts,and devoted themselves to nurturing students' interest in sports and promoting comprehensive development of students,as well as making great efforts to improve their enthusiasm for sports.Research methods: this article have combined several methods,such as the literature material method,the structured interview method,on-the-spot investigation method,logic analysis and so on.Structured interviews was conducted with students,teachers,parents of Wang Gang town center school to explore the deep thoughts of students on sports.Research contents: primary school students' understanding and needs of sports programs;Primary school students' demand for sports venues and equipment;Students' understanding and expectation of PE teachers;The physical education schedule of primary school students;The way pupils participate in sports;The primary school students' access of receiving sports information;The knowledge and awareness of sports function of primary school students;The guidance of physical sports that parents giving to children.This thesis aims to promote students' interest in sports and their passion for sports activities,and put forward some rational suggestions to solve those problems.At the same time it intends to provide useful reference and enlightenment for Wang Gang town center school and its neighboring schools.The following conclusions are drawn from the dissertation: pupils have a limited knowledge about common sports programs in daily life.Pupil's request for sports venue is not high,but they are discontent with the number and variety of the existing sports equipment,which reduce their enthusiasm of taking part in sports;Primary school students are eager to know more about sports equipment,and hope that the PE teacher can introduce more sports equipment to students and teach them how to use them.The students' recognition of the existing PE teachers is low,they hope that the teacher can be patient and dignified,and take a positive attitude towards physical classes so that the students can learn something from every PE lesson.The time arrangement of students' physical class is unreasonable and too tight,thus it is difficult for them to recovery effectively.Primary school students participate in sports in a single way,with less access to understanding sports programs,which partly becauseof the following reasons.On one hand,family and school environment restrict them from getting to know sports information;On the other hand,most of parents are reluctant to support their children spending time on sports.What's more,students' understanding on sports function is limited and shallow;Parents' insufficient guidance is also a crucial factor in children's participation in exercise.Therefore,this thesis proposes the following suggestions: teachers should popularize the knowledge of sports programs,and promote students' interest,as well as impart sports knowledge to students through physical theoretical classes;Schools should make reasonable use of existing venues and equipment,expand sports venues when necessary,add sports equipment,pay attention to the protection of students' safety,and cultivate students' awareness of self-protection.Updating teaching theories,learning new teaching ideas and transforming teaching mode,arranging students' PE class reasonably to avoid classes being approaching or sequent;Carrying out sports competition to urge students to exercise more,and promoting students' interest;Enriching the way that primary school students know about sports,which integrates sports knowledge with their life,and deepens students' understanding of the function of sports.When necessary,teachers should demonstrate correct exercise regimens in person.
