Current College Students' Concern Over The Historical Trend Of Nihilism And Its Guiding Strategies

The report on the Nineteenth Congress pointed out that "Ideology determines the direction and development path of the culture.It is necessary to propel the popularization of Marxism in China and build a socialist ideology with strong cohesiveness and leading position so that all people can get united in ideals,beliefs,values,and ethics." Since the reform and opening up,China's social and economy development has been steadily advancing.Under the influence of foreign culture,values have been diversifying gradually and the rapid coverage of mobile Internet,which has provided favorable and productive communication with various social thoughts including the historical trend of nihilism.By the way,colleges and universities are inevitably impacted by social trends of thought.Under the banner of "retrospect history",The historical nihilism has negated the history of Chinese revolution and China's socialist construction by uglify and distort the revolution and history led by the Communist Party of China.It also advocated wholesale westernization which had brought great negative influence to the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the realization of the Chinese dream of a great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.This thesis based on the university students' attention on historical nihilism and guidance strategy,especially combined with the new changes in the current situation both at home and abroad,has provided targeted and operable countermeasures and suggestions.The first part is mainly raise questions,including significance,literature review and methods.The second part is theoretical analysis which discusses the connotation,manifestation and essence of historical nihilism and the traceability of historical nihilism in China.It has divided by five time nodes,From the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society to the period of the Cultural Revolution,to the 1980s and the mid-1990s until the present.The third part is the analysis of the status quo,mainly based on the data obtained from the questionnaire survey to analyze the status,approaches and attitudes of the college students in their understanding of historical nihilism.The fourth part is the cause analysis.Based on the data analysis of the questionnaire survey,it explains the performance of college students on cognitive biases of historical nihilism,and analyzes these performances from the following five factors:the environment both at home and abroad,education,media,and college students themselves.The fifth part is the countermeasures.In the perspective of socialist core values,social environment,ideological and political theory courses,news media,and college students themselves,this article explores the guiding tactics to eliminate the impact on historical nihilism on college students.
