The Research On Hypocrisy Of The Policy Of "Five Races Under One Union" According To The Demographic Change In The Puppet State Of Manchukuo

The Japanese imperialists had premeditatedly and deliberately engineered the Mukden Incident to occupy the Northeast China,and then established its puppet state of Manchukuo.In order to completely occupy the Northeast China,the Japanese imperialists carried out the “Millions to Manchuria” immigrant programme and compelled the Koreans to migrate to the puppet state of Manchuria.In such a society with so compleoc structure of population,the Japanese imperialists implemented an ethnic policy,so-called “Five Races Under One Union”,to strengthen their control over all ethnic groups,so that they could occupy and rule the Northeast China permanently.The enforcement of “Five Races Under One Union” massively and profoundly affected the population size and structure of the Northeast China.Furthermore,the demographic changes of the puppet state of Manchuria reflected the hypocritical nature of “Five Races Under One Union” from the different social status of all rales.Based on the analysis of population,geographical distribution,ethnic structure and sex ratio of the puppet state of Manchuria,it's concluded that the population of the puppet state of Manchuria was increasing continuously from 1932 to 1942,1.6 million people per year on average,due to the massive immigration of international and Guannei migratory labourant into the northeast China.Among those ethnic groups,the largest one was the Chinese,but the proportion of the Chinese was gradually falling.Relatively speaking,the Japanese and the Koreans were smaller ethnic groups,however,the proportions of the Japanese and the Koreans were rising year by year since a large number of Japanese troops were stationed in Manchukuo and the immigration policy aiming for aggression was launched after the Japanese invasion.Considering the geographical distribution of all ethnic groups,the Chinese mainly lived in the regions with a long history of farming and animal husbandry;the Koreans were mainly concentrated in Jiandao Province because of Japanese Imperialists' policies of concentration and control;and the Japanese moved with Japanese Imperialists' immigration policy,were mainly concentrated in the regions with a long history of farming and animal husbandry,border regions and emerging cities.The sex ratio of the Chinese and that of the Koreans were relatively stable while that of the Japanese was larger in magnitude.From this we may certainly infer that the Japanese immigration was abnormal.With the change of population,ethnic structure and sex ratio of the puppet state of Manchuria,the gap between each ethnic group was increasingly widening.First of all,the Japanese controlled and monopolized the political power of the puppet state of Manchuria and governed other ethnic groups with ruthless intensity.Secondly,the Japanese had higher social status and enjoyed better treatments and subsidies;in culture,the Japanese enslaved other ethnic groups through education.Finally,in immigration policy,the Japanese imperialists discouraged the spontaneity of immigration from the China proper,concentrated and restricted the Korean immigrants,compelled all ethnic groups to contribute to its colonial rule and reserved the fertile land for Japanese immigrants,in order to occupy the Northeast China permanently and securely.According to the change of demographic data of the puppet state of Manchuria and the fact that Japanese imperialists ruled other ethnic groups with ruthless intensity,it concludes that under the cover of “Five Races Under One Union”,the Japanese imperialists forced the Japanese people to immigrate to the Northeast China,described the Japanese into the leading ethnic group and the core of all ethnic groups,controlled the political power of the puppet state of Manchuria,secretly altered the natural movement of the population of the puppet state of Manchuria,restrained the immigration from the China proper and restricted the Korean immigrants to certain regions,in order to compel the demographic changes of the puppet state of Manchuria to contribute to the Japanese invasion.It reveals that the Japanese imperialists' poling of “Five Races Under One Union” is absolutely hypocritical.
