The development of the modern middle school students are no longer in cultivating students' skills to solve the problem and to improve the accuracy to solve the problem as the main purpose.With the continuous reform of teaching,in order to cultivate innovative talents,curriculum standards have specific requirements for the scientific literacy of middle school students,and the more emphasis on cultivating students the ability of scientific inquiry.Basic scientific reasoning ability is the necessary condition for scientific inquiry,and the cultivation of students' scientific reasoning ability is the basis of cultivating their scientific inquiry ability.In 2009,Lei Bao,a professor of the Ohio State University,published a paper in the Science Magazine that attracted widespread attention from Chinese and foreign scholars.In the study,the scientific knowledge and reasoning ability of Chinese and American college students in mechanics and electromagnetism were tested respectively.The results show that the level of scientific knowledge of Chinese students is much higher than that of American students,but the level of scientific reasoning ability of the two countries is almost the same.After a detailed comparative analysis concluded that the students' scientific reasoning ability have a few things with the richness of scientific knowledge.Using the professor BaoLei revision of the scientific reasoning ability to scale to test the students' ability of scientific reasoning,knowledge to the ordinary high school teaching mode guided by the three dimensional target after entering the university students through the open teaching process,acquiring scientific knowledge in the process of the development of scientific reasoning ability.Research adopt the way of questionnaire survey,mainly in the perspective of two aspects: the scientific reasoning ability of students development characteristics fully show:(1)the longitudinal comparison students from one to three to big repeatedly until junior year,in the process of the change of the students' ability of scientific reasoning development situation;(2)the lateral comparison high school students scientific reasoning ability of gender differences,sex differences in college students scientific reasoning ability between different professional and scientific reasoning ability of students.Through research about the present situation of the scientific reasoning ability of students have a preliminary understanding of,with deep sum up the insufficiency of students scientific reasoning ability,combining with related theories to explain these problems,and find the relevant scientific reasoning ability training plan,in order to improve students scientific reasoning ability.The results show that there is no significant correlation between students' scientific reasoning ability and their scientific content and knowledge richness,and there is no significant difference between the sexes.The sample students have low level of scientific reasoning ability,so they should develop their consciousness of scientific reasoning and get better development in the mode of inquiry classroom teaching.This study has certain theoretical significance and practical value in understanding the development situation of thinking of Chinese teenagers and improving education teaching mode.
