With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,the curriculum reform attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' core qualities.Teachers are required to keep up with the times,inherit and develop excellent teaching concepts,and innovate classroom teaching methods.Students should be the main body,and more emphasis should be placed on teaching science.Sex and the students' comprehensive thinking skills are trained to actively guide students to learn through autonomy,cooperation,and inquiry.The comprehensive,regional and spatial features of geography disciplines have a high requirement for students' comprehensive analysis ability and logical thinking ability,and the learning difficulty is relatively large.This requires that teachers in geography teaching should be student-centered,combined with the characteristics of the subjects and students.The characteristics of learning to find and solve problems encountered by students in a timely manner.Cognitive conflict is one of the problems that students often encounter when they study geography.Cognitive conflict refers to the contradictions and conflicts that occur psychologically when a person's cognitive experience acquired in daily life and learning is inconsistent with the actual situation.The cognitive conflict strategy is a teaching strategy based on the theory of cognitivism and constructivist learning theory.The teacher conducts in-depth analysis of the content of the teaching materials to find out the knowledge points that easily make the students produce conflict,and through the reasonable process in the teaching process.Teaching design and grasp the timing of education to guide students in a timely manner to help students to change the disadvantages encountered in learning into favorable factors,so as to better solve the conflict between students and teaching materials.Applying cognitive conflict strategy to geography teaching not only embodies student-centered teaching philosophy,but also plays an important role in stimulating students' interest in learning,promoting meaningful learning,improving cognitive structure,and developing geographical thinking ability.This study mainly used the literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,observation method and experimental research method.By reviewing the relevant literature,the definition,types,and solutions of cognitive conflict and cognitive conflict strategies are described.The research status of cognitive conflict strategies at home and abroad is reviewed,and the shortcomings of domestic research are summarized.Based on the shortcomings of current research,the research direction of this paper is determined.This article takes the students in the first grade of the 17 th middle school of Kaifeng as the survey object.Through the investigation of the current situation of the students' geography learning and the cognitive conflict strategies applied in the geography classroom teaching experiment in the class they are teaching,the data obtained are statistically analyzed.After the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Although students are very interested in geography,their enthusiasm and initiative in learning geography is not high.Most students' enthusiasm for learning geography and initiative needs to be improved.(2)Students are eager to diversify teaching methods in the geography classroom and resent teaching methods.The survey data shows that no student likes to learn geography by instilling knowledge.Students also hope that teachers can use teaching methods such as inquiry-based and blended teaching to create a learning atmosphere and enhance students' interest in learning.(3)Cognitive conflict strategy has a significant effect on the teaching of geography teaching.In the teaching process of applying cognitive conflict strategies to geography teaching,it is found that the learning atmosphere in class is more active than before.Most students can think and analyze problems more proactively and have better knowledge of relevant knowledge.The cognitive conflict strategy is applied to geography class teaching,which realizes the organic combination of cognitive conflict theory and geography teaching practice,and expands the application field of cognitive conflict theory.This study constructs the application model of cognitive conflict strategies and designs the teaching flow of cognitive conflict strategies.It is of innovative significance in enhancing the operability of cognitive conflict strategies.
