Under the background of globalization and informationization,needs of cultivating innovative talents rise challenges for higher education.MOOC,as an innovative form of online education appeared and developed fast in recent years,which has widespread impact on education practice in many countries.In social learning environment of online courses,learners learn through interaction,interacting with interfaces,contents,teachers and other learners.However,MOOCs suffered from problems like high dropoff rate,poor interaction experience and lack of effective communication,etc.In discussion area or forum in MOOC,dialogue is the main form of interaction and the carrier of expressed knowledge.Analyzing dialogues between learners can help better understand how learners construct knowledge together,and find out the problems existed and possible causes.This study aims to discover the community knowledge building mode of MOOC learners with interaction analysis,and accordingly put forward instructional design strategies to improve the effectiveness of learners' interaction,to promote the collaborative knowledge building towards higher level,and to optimize the learning effect of MOOCs.This research has great theoretical and practical significance as above.This thesis studied the first round of intercultural communication MOOC made by Shanghai International Studies University on FutureLearn online course platform.We collected learners comment posting records as research data source,selected dialogues in several learning steps according to the frequency and continuity of communication,creating the coding system based on interaction theory and content analysis dimensions in current existing domestic and foreign researches.In quantitative and qualitative content analysis,we using the statistical encoding results to study the overall characteristics of learning process,and moreover visualize the knowledge developing path of case in different dimension,to discover the community knowledge building pattern.The model of community knowledge building process in MOOCs has feature of developing knowledge status as its sign of each phase,learners' interaction as its moving energy and advancing approach,mainly characterized by four of the knowledge building principles.Finally,to address problems in each phase and promote the knowledge building process,we proposed 4 instructional design strategies,which respectively are viewpoint triggering strategy,dialogue happening strategy,discussion deepening strategy and consensus reflecting strategy.We also suggested some feasible methods from the perspective of learning content,learning activities and learning support to provide reference for MOOC practitioners.
