Web-based Course, the quality of which will influence the effect of Web-basedEducation, is the core of Web-based Education. The building of Web-based Course in Chinahas acquired some achievements, but there are still a lot of problems. They are: paying toomuch attention to the presentation of content but neglecting the Instructional Design,opening too much but neglecting management, not well knowledge building, sensibility lostin the web-based learning environment.The author wants to bring forward a method to solve the problems.The author thinks whether we can build Web-based Course from the perspective ofKnowledge Building Community, and build the platform of Knowledge building;whetherwe can provide scaffold to help student collaborate and explore, and then promoteknowledge and ability of the community;whether we can make the Web-based Course as aVLC, provide enough learning resources and the place for fun, and more importantly tomake up the sensibility lost.Base on these thoughts above, the author and his fellows exploit the Video Disc course.We use ID(Instructional Design) principles to make out the content of the course, makethe learning environment on the learning theories of constructivism, exploit the learningnote;we add new resources and provide various interaction. In a word, we try to make ourcourse get rid of these problems.On top of that, the writer carried through a questionnaire on the results of using thecourse, and then the writer analyzed the result objectively, in the end, the writer pointed outthe achievement and the problem of the course.
