Stimulating students' interests in writing has alwayas been an important issue in Chinese language teaching,and a difficulty for the Chinese language teachers in agricultural and postal areas in Qing Hai as well.Based on the researches on this issue,through the research contains questionnaires for the students in Grade 7,8 and 9 of Wulan No.1 Middle School.this passage is trying to discover the problems in writing and the origins of these problems of the students in agricultural and postal areas in Qing Hai.By analysing the questionnares,the following porblems in writing of the students are shown:they write not for interests,but for utilitarian purposes;they don't have enough training for writing which leads to many difficulties in writing;they don't have the habit of observing or reading which leads to the lack of writing materials;there are few different evaluation models for writing in these areas which leads to the lack of interests in writing.Focused on these problems,and based on the analysis of them,this paper offered three suggestions for stimulating their interests in writing from three aspects.The first suggestion is to accumulate writing materials,which can be in their life experience in agricultural and postal areas,the changing social life,and their reading materials.The second one is to improve their language leves by learning the culture of Qing Hai,such as the Hua'er(songs about flowers and people's emotion)and the local proverbs.The last suggestion is to improve the evaluation models for writing.Teachers' ecouraging and proper evaluations are needed more than just simple judgements,and an evaluation system is suggested,which contains the evalutations of students themselves,within each team,and between students and teachers.
