Living in the era of "big data",the form of teacher's instruction and student's learning have changed to some degrees.With the transformations of society and the development of technology,people have more expectations for educations' process and results.Which means that traditional teaching methods may not fully meet the demands asked by countries and societies for talents in the 21st century.We need to actively explore more diversiform,new and effective teaching methods to effectively help our learning.Normally,the most art appreciation lessons in high schools were taught using textbooks or power point.However,some new media,such as educational apps,have advantages and features that are not available in some general textbooks or power point.For example:strong interaction,beautiful interface,rich resources,compatible dynamic,easy to use and so on.Therefore,there are researches and practices that APP is applied to teaching in many disciplines.And it is generally stated that several educational APP have positive effects on the students' development in many aspects.However,there is little involvement in art education.In particular,the practice of high school art appreciation is even more rare.This situation is due to the two facts.On the one hand,front-line educators have a skeptical and negative attitude toward APP and they are not willing to actively pay attention to the APP and explore relevant educational resources;On the other hand,the promotion of art-based APP is not very effective,which leads many teachers and students actually do not know the advent of high quality APP.This study used the APP of "Han Xi Zai Ye Yan TU" as the main carrier to explore the role and influence of art APP in high school art appreciation courses.Taking both advantages of teacher-led and APP-assisted,and leading students to explore new media learning methods which are not the same as traditional appreciation modes.Practice has shown that the use of APP for art appreciation does have some characteristics that traditional appreciation does not possess.Students also generally stated that this way of teaching can attract continuous attention and curiosity as well as making the class more effective.In addition,the students also expressed their desire to learn more about Art App and use it to learn more about Chinese and foreign art masterpieces after classes.However,what must be considered is that educational APP is not an all-purpose tool.Teachers must grasp the relationship between APP and them.In addition,it is a question needed to be discussed that whether using electronic applications to learn will affect students' mental health,behavioral habits,and learning habits.
