Currently the core of world science education reformation is changing from "the science conclusion education centered on knowledge system" to "the science process education centered on inquiry, which focuses on the learning during process and is driving an all-sided reform of education. How to realize inquiry instruction in science education is one of the hotspots and difficult points in the reformation of science curriculum. This paper thinks theoretically and researches practically on inquiry instruction model, in order to seek the approach and method of inquiry instruction model in the education of science curriculum.The preface of the paper simply introduces the purpose, content and methods of the research.The first part introduces the basic theory of science curriculum. It expounds the impact basic education reform to the science curriculum, and the development of science curriculum. It also compares the science curriculum in China and foreign countries. It simply introduces the training conditions of science curriculum teachers presently, especially focuses on the training process of the first group of science curriculum teachers in Wuhan, China. In addition, it presents the conditions of the construction of science curriculum teaching materials of Wuhan's version. Finally it points out the problems that science curriculum faced.Aiming at the problems presented in the first part, the second part presents the importance of instruction model in middle schools' teaching, analyzes the theory of instruction model, simply expounds the types and application of instruction model, and analyzes the appropriate instruction model to science teaching. It also introduces the instructional resources which are designed by us—the multimedia course ScienceThe third part presents the method of case study and how to implement it in the research. In this section, it briefly introduces the value of research method, case study. Also it presents the implementation process of the research, and the evaluation of the research after implementing the method described in the thesis.The fourth part is the emphasis of this paper—carrying out the case study of science classroom instruction model. It analyzes the selection of research objects, including environment, teacher and course content, demonstrates the research goal and task ,collects several applications of instruction model for the research process and object, and finally analyzes the instructional design, inquiry activity, feedback, and instructional evaluation.The conclusion introspect the research and then makes the conclusion. In order to realize the teaching goal, the paper points out that the education of science curriculum should embody the explorative idea during the instruction process, and apply appropriate instruction model in the education implementation process according to teaching goal. The case study provides a feasible case of inquiry learning for science teachers and students. Some questions about the implementation of inquiry learning should make further research based on this thesis.
