In the era of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation," young people have become a new force for entrepreneurial innovation.Colleges and universities,as incubators for cultivating talents, have guided and nurtured undergraduates to participate in scientific research activities in accordance with the requirements of the times, and improved their professional skills and learning and communication capabilities.I mainly use the forms of questionnaires and interviews as the carrier, and use excel, wps, spss, and amos software as research tools to conduct research on the scientific activities of undergraduate students.I have distributed 750 questionnaires(including pre-surveys)among undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the university.Through the analysis of the questionnaires,I find the situation of undergraduates participating in scientific research is not optimistic in Yunnan University. The proportion of students participating in science and technology competitions, research projects, and research papers(investigation reports)was less than20%,and the number of awards for science and technology accounted for only 28.8% of the participation.Nearly 60% of works in various works were not processed. The conversion rate of results is low.School research resources are tilted towards groups who are student cadres, major in science and engineering,or have academic excellence. The development of undergraduate research in the university is extremely uneven. The survey shows that the main factors affecting their participation are time and experience, knowledge of undergraduate research activities, curriculum setting, their own interests, school organization and publicity, good academic atmosphere, and teacher guidance.Secondly, from the perspective of interviews with the teachers and students, teachers support the participation of undergraduates in scientific research activities. Most teachers believe that the reasons for influencing students' participation inundergraduate scientific research are that the undergraduates lack of relevant abilities, experience and creativity and that the university offers insufficient incentive mechanism. The main factors considered by the students are the insufficiency of time, professionalism and teacher guidance.Through the exploratory analysis and confirmatory analysis of the factors that influence the undergraduates' scientific research activities, the results show that the main factors affecting undergraduate students are: the school's examination form, the students' interest and capacities in undergraduate research activities, rewards and career planning, time and attitude and school facilities. Finally, from the questionnaires, interview records, etc.,I conclude that there are shortcomings in the selection mechanism of undergraduate scientific research activities, that the publicity of scientific research activities is not enough, that the undergraduates lack of relevant professional knowledge, and that it is unbalanced between school policies, and undergraduate research activities. It is suggested that university improve from the aspects of propaganda and selection mechanism.
