The phenomenon of test anxiety is widespread in our country’s middle school campuses. It not only affects students’ test scores, but also impairs students’ physical and mental health. It has become one of the major concerns of mental health education in middle schools in China. However, many middle schools in our country have less mental teachers and low levels of specialization. It has become a realistic and urgent task to formulate a set of solutions that can solve students’ test anxiety problems simply and efficiently.Solution-Focused Group Therapy is simple and practical, and it is very suitable for secondary school teachers to use.Based on this, this study proposes a study that use Solution-Focused Group Therapy to interfere with test anxiety. This study mainly includes two major parts. The first part mainly investigates junior high school students’ test anxiety and test self-efficacy.Through a questionnaire survey on examination self-efficacy and test anxiety among 553 junior high school students in Wuhan, statistical analysis of the data found that:(1)19.1%of the 553 students had moderate and severe Test anxiety.(2)There was a significant difference in test-level anxiety among grades,of which the second grade was significantly higher than the first grade;there was no significant difference in the gender variables.(3)The test self-efficacy of four dimensions are negatively related to test anxiety.Among them,self-confidence and self-efficacy of the test itself can significantly negatively predict test anxiety level. The second part is mainly focus on the orientation group counseling intervention study to examine whether test self-efficacy group counseling under the focus-oriented approach can effectively reduce junior high school students’ test anxiety level.12 students were members of the experimental group and other students were members of the control group. The experimental group received group counseling intervention and the control group received no treatment. After the end of group counseling, test self-efficacy questionnaires and test anxiety questionnaires were again tested, and the data was analyzed and processed. After the team members had undergone group counseling, the confidence of the test itself and the effectiveness of the questions in the test were significant. There was no significant change in the level of improvement, test anxiety, and efficacy at the time of examination and mood stability in the examination. There was no significant difference between the control group and the pretest group. This study found that examination self-efficacy is an effective variable in predicting test anxiety.Focus-oriented group counseling is also welcomed by students and it has a great effect on improving some dimensions of test self-efficacy.So,we can consider the design of focus group solutions to improve junior high school students’ examination self-efficacy.However,this intervention method needs more empirical results to improve the efficacy of self-efficacy and reduce test anxiety.
