Sandbox Therapy Using High School Students Test Anxiety Research Intervention

Test anxiety (TA) is an impediment issue in the practice of present schooling. Students’ TA not only has a negative influence on their academic achievement and physical and psychological health, but also on the classroom management and development. Meanwhile, it affects the harmony of family. Therefore, in order to better serve the school education and to relieve students’ TA effectively, it is imperative that school psychologists provide valuable and convenient curing methods in theory and practice.The object of study in this article is the senior students in high school whose TA level is above intermediate. With the intention of finding out the corrective, effective and general methods to cure students’TA, the researcher compared the group1(Guiding sandplay) and group2(Spontaneous sandplay) with the control group respectively. The identical group was measured previously and subsequently in this research from quantity and quality. For quantity, the degree and effect of TA intervened by sandplay therapy was evaluated in the whole process of experiment. For quality, it is mainly exploring the effectiveness of sandplay therapy by reviewing the procedure of making sandplay and works.Conclusion:1. The effect on students’ TA intervened by sand play therapy is remarkable.(1) It could reduce students’anxiety and relieve symptoms effectively.(2) It could stimulate individual self-cured potentials and promote the self-healing development validly.2. Guiding sandplay interventions have a positive function on senior students whose TA level is relatively high.3. Spontaneous sandplay interventions are effective for intermediate level TA students4. Under the circumstance of the number of interviewees’inequality, the best proposal is matching up the Guiding sandplay with high level TA students, and utilizing the Spontaneous sandplay for intermediate level TA students.
