With the development of the times and the progress of the society, the reformation of education is necessary. As a subject of promoting innovative thinking, the reformation in mathematics has been paid more attention. The traditional way of teaching mathematics is usually cramming education, teachers do not require students to understand the essence of mathematics, they just ask them for examining well,so the students tend to do exhibit extraordinary ability, which is famous in the world. But when using mathematics to solve practical problems, students often confused, and it’s not conducive to the cultivation of students’ creative thinking. The essence of knowledge is situational. In order to make the students understand the knowledge and realize the application of mathematical knowledge in the real life, situational teaching is naturally introduced into the mathematics class. This paper has been studied deeply from theory and experiment aspects in order to explore the influence of introducing mathematics situation in mathematics class to students’ understanding of mathematics.Firstly, this paper has studied the influence of situational teaching to students’understanding from 3 aspects of constructivist theory, situated cognition theory and the theory of the zone of proximal, respectively. Finally,on the base of literature research and theoretical study,it have designed the experimental scheme and the influence of situational teaching on students’ understanding have been studied at the same time, the main methods used later include contrastive experimental method, questionnaire method and interview method.
