In recent years, domestic scholars have gradually expanded the scope of leadership research, and the understanding of leadership has also turned to non-authoritarianization.As a result, the education of college students' leadership has received widespread attention, and related research has also grown rapidly. However, most of its researches proceed from the perspective of cognition to make a theoretical overview, the research on emotion is relatively scarce,as well as the theory and practice are relatively separated. Therefore, based on emotionally intelligent leadership model developed by American scholar Shankman and Allen in 2008,this study focuses on assessing the current situation of the development of emotionally intelligent leadership in ordinary college students and explores the relationship among emotional intelligence leadership,self-efficacy and social adaption.Understanding the needs of student leadership training, formulating and implementing the intervention programs of emotionally intelligent leadership,as well as providing theoretical guidance and practical evidence for the improvement of students' leadership,self-efficacy and social adaption in colleges and universities. On the basis of literature analysis, this paper uses the questionnaire survey method and the depth interview method to combine qualitative research and quantitative research.A total of 311 students participated in the questionnaire survey of emotionally intelligent leadership across the country.Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven students in Zhejiang Normal University.36 students were asked about the training needs questionnaire and 32 students were recruited for training intervention.According to the results of this study draw the following conclusions:(1)In the first study,311 students from different regions were selected as subjects to investigate the status and characteristics of college students' emotionally intelligent leadership,self-efficacy,and social adaptation, and to explore the relationship between the three. The results show that the overall development of students' emotionally intelligent leadership is at a medium level, and the self-efficacy is at average level, but social adaptability is poor. There are significant differences in the students' EIL's political status, whether they served as a class cadre, whether they join the student organization, the number of students joining the organization, and the top leadership positions. There is a significant difference in the self-efficacy of whether they serve as class leaders and whether they have participated in leadership training. The self-efficacy has significant differences in whether they serve as a class cadre and whether they have participated in leadership training.Social adaptation differed significantly in whether it was a class cadre, whether he participated in leadership training, whether he joined a student organization, how many students joined the organization, and where the highest leadership positions were. There was a significant positive correlation between student EIL and self-efficacy.EIL and social adaptation were significantly positively correlated. There was also a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and social adaptation.EIL has a significant predictive effect on self-efficacy and social adaptation. At the same time,self-efficacy plays an intermediate role in EIL and social adaptation.(2)The second study mainly used students from Zhejiang Normal University as subjects, conducted semi-structured interviews with 10 students, and conducted questionnaire surveys for 39 students. The results show that mostly be talked about by respondents was emotional self-perception,honest self-understanding,emotional self-control,flexibility,empathy,influence,developing relationship and teamwork in EIL.These capabilities are also considered to be relatively important and need for improvement.(3)In the third study,32 students from Zhejiang Normal University were selected as subjects. They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 16 students in each group. The experimental group was trained in emotionally intelligent leadership intervention. The results show that compared with the control group that did not receive the training of students' emotionally intelligent leadership, the emotionally intelligent leadership level and self-efficacy of the experimental group were significantly improved after the training, while the effect of social adaptation ability was not significant. This study strengthens the localization of the concept of emotionally intelligent leadership, broadens the field of leadership research. It provides evidence for empirical research for the education of leadership and training of college students.Besides,it enhances individual leadership of students. It has important application value, too.
