With the rapid development of the scientific world,China's economy and society have entered a new era.Citizens in the new era can only adapt to social life if they possess a certain level of technological literacy. In addition,“Talent-based” is one of the basic principles of China's goal of building a strong manufacturing country.Undoubtedly,it also puts forward a higher expectation for students who are the future builders of the motherland, and improving the manufacturing capabilities requires improving the students' technical literacy as a starting point.Chemistry disciplines are closely related to technology,so chemistry courses play an important role in cultivating students' technical literacy, and as an important tool for implementing chemistry teaching and for students to master the long-term accumulation of scientific and cultural knowledge, textbooks should also be the primary tool for cultivating students' technical quality. Therefore,it is necessary to analyze and research the content of technical education in teaching materials.Through reviewing the literature, this article reviews the current situation of the comparative study of high school chemistry textbooks, the main tasks of technical education, the importance of technical education, and the current weak technical education situation in China. On this basis, the research objectives and tasks are clarified.Firstly, the thesis draws on the academic research on the constituent elements of technical literacy, defines and interprets the technical literacy in this study, and builds the thinking of the analysis of teaching materials. The paper takes the compulsory textbooks(PEP,Luke, and Jiangsu Education Version)of the three editions of High School Chemistry as the analysis objects, and analyzes the content selection, content organization, and content presentation of the teaching materials from the perspective of technical education. The technical literacy elements and their characteristics covered and embodied in each dimension,From the perspective of implementing technical education and cultivating students' technical quality, this paper analyzes and discusses the features, advantages and disadvantages of each version of the textbook so as to promote the purpose of cultivating students' technical literacy in chemistry teaching.Through the study,it is found that the three versions of textbooks have their own writing characteristics in the compilation of technical education content. The PEP and Luke textbooks pay attention to the mastery of students' basic knowledge, and less consider the improvement of students' technical ability from the perspective of technical education; The Jiangsu Education Press pays attention to linking the actual production of the industry and has slight advantages in overall arrangement, selection of columns, and setting of questions after class. It has made explorations for students to understand the relationship between chemistry and technology.
