The community education in Japan has a long history,and fruitful achievements.Since the end of the second world war,Japan has been rapidly resumed.The government of Japan has been pursuing reforms vigorously in the political,economic,social and educational fields.With a result,the overall development of the country has rapidly entered the forefront of the world.Among these,Japan's community education plays an important role in economic development,social progress and national quality improvement.In the 21 st century,the development of education and the construction of learning society has become the trend of international community education development.However,the implementation of education is inseparable from the community education,the construction of the learning society should also be based on the building of a learning-oriented community.How to optimize education resources;promote the cooperation and integration of school,family and society;build a new educational pattern is becoming a world education reform trend.Under the influence by the concept and practice of lifelong education and learning society,the study of community education become a hot spot and focus in the field of education.The academia has emerged a large number of theoretical results,accumulating valuable literature for our further study.But throughout these theory results,its content is mainly focused on the history of community education development,the social education theory and the practice patterns,and citizens of the social education institutions,such as the study of Europe and the United States and other countries of community education.Japan has the best community education system among the Asian countries.Different from the European and American countries,which centered on vocational education,the development of community education in Japan is based on all kinds of public institutions.Making public institutions as the center,to provide national diversity and targeted education for Japanese people,formed Japan's own uniquepattern.Compared with the western countries,Japan,as a neighboring country with a long history of exchanges with us,has successful experience of community education,and can provide unique reference to our education.By reviewing the history of community education in Japan,and explore the Japan government's community education policies after the second world war,can help us understand and the development of community education in Japan better,and summarize the experiences as well as lessons from the it.Finally,through this research,provide some insight for our country in the development of the related areas.The introduction part of this thesis summarizes the research significance and research status;then defines the core concepts in the thesis.At last,based on the literature review,explains the research contents and methods of the thesis.The main body of the thesis is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is the historical evolution of the development in Japan community education.The second chapter mainly introduces the important policy documents of Japan's community education during its establishment and development period.The third chapter introduces the policy shifting from community education towards lifelong education,since the 1970 s.Finally,the fourth chapter summarizes and inspirations the overall characteristics of Japanese community education policies,and puts forward some suggestions for the development of community education in our country.
