In the process of promoting the construction of a learning-oriented city,in order to meet the increasing diversified demands of people for learning and respond to the challenges of the modernization development of education,it is required that the current education should be transformed from closed to open,from unitary to multidimensional,and from management to service.As clearly stated in the “Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)”,it is necessary to build an “overpass” for the lifelong learning,and promote vertical connection and horizontal communication of various types of education at all levels.Furthermore,“China Education Modernization 2035” unified the realization of the ultimate modernization of the education system to the development goals of the lifelong education.From the perspective of universities and community interaction,the study mainly explores how to construct a lifelong education community based on the interaction between universities and community,including some sub-problems like “What is a lifelong education community?”,“Why should we build a lifelong education community?”,“How to construct a lifelong education community with the interaction between university and community as the dual structure?”.Based on the field investigation of the relevant practices in some areas of Shanghai,this thesis presents the current status of university-community interaction for further exploring its practice and experience by applying the quantitative and qualitative research methods.Meanwhile,on longitudinal analyses of the historical development of the interaction between western universities and community,referring to the practical experience in this field of other countries(i.e.United States,Britain,Northern Europe,Japan),I expect to highlight the social service function of modern universities and improve the awareness of constructing a lifelong education community.The construction of a lifelong education community is not only the future trend of conducting social service in universities,but also an effective way for realizing new development in communities.On the basis of the same value consensus,following certain educational norms,we can carry out continuous and standardized interaction and cooperation to promote each other's development.Therefore,it is feasible to construct a lifelong education community based on the university-community interaction.It is further found that the “university-community” educational community,as a complex system,is a contractual non-entity organization constructed by universities and communities on the basis of full consultation.University-community interaction contains complex system operation,therefore,this study adopts Luhmann's social system theory and elaborates the evolution of “openness,coordination,sharing,innovation and sustainability” between universities and communities under the guidance of its “function-structure” logic.The study also analyzes how to restructure the main body,resources,environment and other elements to build the system structure of “university-community” education community under the guidance of value consensus.The study further discusses the five operational mechanisms of the community and puts forward the concrete construction paths of the “universitycommunity” education community.This study has made certain innovative explorations in three aspects: theoretical expansions,research perspectives and practical applications.This study innovatively regards “the lifelong education community” as the embodiment of “a community with a shared future for mankind” in the field of education,thus giving it a new connotation.Focusing on the university and community field,the study strives to seek an equal and symbiotic cooperation between them,promote co-construction and sharing,and realize two-way activation.This study expands the vision of “education-society” with certain reference significance for the construction of lifelong education system based on the interaction between universities and communities in China.I sincerely hope that we should further strive for the in-depth collaboration and development of all subjects,effectively devote ourselves to the integration,promotion,co-construction and sharing of educational resources between universities and communities,accelerate the optimization of the development environment of the lifelong education,and further promote innovation and creation in the field of education,thus,the whole society can better recognize and return to develop the notions and systems of the lifelong education.
