In accordance with the Ordinary High School Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards(Experimental)stipulated by the Ministry of Education,the guiding committee who has edited that standards also undertook the responsibility of editing Ideology and Politics 1 Compulsory Economical Life,Ideology and Politics 2 Compulsory Political Life,Ideology and Politics 3 Compulsory Cultural Life and Ideology and Politics 4 Compulsory Life and Philosophy which constitute the 4 compulsory high school ideology and politics textbooks.This thesis makes efforts to effectively apply the situational approach to high school ideology and politics classes based on the teaching content of the above books.During the 10 years of implementing the new curriculum reform in our country,the great reform which emphasizes a new teaching concept has promoted profound changes in high school ideology and politics teaching that are cheerful.And it is for sure that situational teaching approach has contributed a lot in this respect and is playing an indispensable role in high school ideology and politics teaching which has been proved in practice.The strong promotion of teachers of this course has also enhanced the localization and disciplinization of situational teaching approach.Situational teaching approach is introduced to change the traditional education models,comprehensively promote quality education and improve the timeliness of class teaching.This these is composed of 5 chapters.The first chapter is introduction,illustrating the topic background,research meaning,domestic and foreign research status quo,research logic and research methodology.The second chapter is the overview of situational teaching approach.First of all,two concepts--situational teaching approach and high school ideology and politics situational teaching approach--are analyzed.Then,their characteristics are discussed from the aspects of authenticity,autonomous participation,affectiveness and formativeness of such situational teaching approach.Next is the analysis of the theory this application of situational teaching approach refers to.The third chapter discusses about the necessity and probability of applying situational teaching approach to high school ideology and politics classes.The necessity of applying situational teaching approach is analyzed from the its effects of promoting students' learning and improving textbooks materials.The probability of applying situational teaching approach is discussed from the new curriculum reform concept,high school ideology and politics class concept,improving of teachers' comprehensive quality as well as modern information technology.The fourth chapter talks about the specific application of situational teaching approach to high school ideology and politics classes.First,the principles of applying situational approach are analyzed.Then the process of applying situational teaching approach to classes is discussed based on the four circles of teaching process.Next the thesis will illustrate how situational approach is specifically applied by presenting a case study of a high school ideology and politics course.The fifth chapter is about the problems that should be paid attention to during applying situational teaching approach,which will be discussed from the following three levels: problems arisen from creating and setting situations,requirements of creating and setting situations for teachers and management of relationships between situational teaching approach and the new curriculum reform.
