As one of the most representative sports in China,the development of table tennis clubs is the foundation of this sport and is closely related to the future of the sport.Lack of awareness of positive innovation and improvement.In this paper,through the Wuhan City,Maryland operating table tennis clubs as the research object,using literature,questionnaires,expert interviews,mathematical statistics and other methods to Wuhan,The current situation of operational table tennis clubs in Maryland is collected,sorted out and compared and analyzed.Wuhan and Maryland operating table tennis clubs are compared in all aspects.Referring to the advantages of the operating table tennis clubs in Maryland in terms of personnel structure,club management model,publicity methods,and so on,to improve the development of Wuhan operating table tennis clubs,Help Wuhan operating table tennis club to optimize and upgrade Improve the comprehensive strength of operating table tennis clubs in China.This paper studies the differences between Chinese and American operational table tennis clubs,and provides some references for promoting the healthy development of China's operating table tennis clubs.Results of the study:1.The investment forms of commercial table tennis clubs in Wuhan are individual investment and collective investment while in Maryland the form manly focuses on collective investment.The investment amount of Wuhan is primarily from 150,000 to 300,000 yuan while the corresponding amount in Maryland is between US $50 and US$200,000.2.The operation mode in Wuhan is mainly composed of "single core workers + other employers " while in Maryland it is a "dual-core + senior assistant" model.The whole team in Maryland are investors of their clubs while in Wuhan those employers are not investors.3.The male coaches in Wuhan account for 81.8%,male coaches between the age of 51 and 60 account for 33.8%while those who own coach certificate just occupy 18.2%.The proportion of male coaches in Maryland is 91.3%,those age between 20 and 30 occupy 34.8%while those from 51 to 60 account for 39.1%.And the certified coaches in Maryland take up 43.5%.4.Table tennis consumers in Wuhan accounted for 70%of males,21.2%of which had a income of more than 5,000 yuan,52.8%of them had bachelor degree or above,82%of them chose to purchase in professional table tennis shop;in Maryland,male consumers accounted for 64.7%,those who have the income of more than 4000 US dollars occupy 81.3%and 90%of them have bachelor degree or above.What's more,90%of them choose to purchase table tennis supplies on the website(including the club website).Table tennis products that can be purchased for every thousand dollars by the table tennis consumer in Maryland are more than that in Wuhan.5.The main consumption form of table tennis consumer in Wuhan is membership system(annual-card member has the proportion of 60.4%,monthly-card member accounts for 27.2%and non-members occupy 12.4%).There is no specific standard charge for juveniles,senior citizens,and disabled people.People develop targeted charges.In Maryland,annual-card member accounts 46.7%,monthly-card member occupies 37.3%,family-card proportion is 12%while non-member take up 4%.Wuhan clubs are confined to the one-on-one teaching model for adults while clubs in Maryland have created three classes of adult-oriented large-scale classes besides one-on-one mode and they are midday break classes,non-differential classes,and table tennis prescriptions room.And the clubs in Maryland have weekly competitions the U.S.Table Tennis Championships are held periodically.6.As for the hardware facilities of the clubs of the two sides,in Wuhan,there are four clubs with an area of over 500m,one with 300-500m2,one with an air height greater than 5m,one with plastic floor and 2 clubs equipped with central air conditioning.In Maryland,two clubs have an area of 500m2,one with 300-500m,and all of the clubs'air height is greater than 6m,3 clubs are all equipped with plastic floor,and all are equipped with central air conditioning.7.In Maryland,78%of consumers learn about the club's information through the club's website,and none of the Wuhan table tennis clubs has set up a website.Also Maryland table tennis clubs design badges,slogans,cultural shirts and other products to promote the club culture.Conclusion of the study:1.In terms of investment in both table tennis clubs,there is only a slight difference in the form of investment.The amount of investment in the investment is mainly the amount of small and medium-sized investment.2.Maryland operators are mainly based on "dual-core+assistant",staffing is more complete,and their comprehensive capabilities are stronger than Wuhan operators;Wuhan table tennis club lacks awareness of coaches training compared to Maryland.Coaches' qualifications are not very demanding,and coaches' evaluations are not standardized.3.The use of the points system to qualitatively determine the level of consumers in the Maryland Club is more scientific and standardized.The Wuhan City Club lacks such experience.4.Maryland operating table tennis clubs are more sophisticated and advanced than Wuhan operating table tennis clubs in terms of hardware facilities(excluding site area),promotion methods,business models,extension services,and club website construction.
