The Study Of Geography Key Competences Training In Junior High School

Geography is a compulsory subject in the junior high school.It requires students to have a certain degree of geographical and cultural knowledge.Also this discipline should improve students' intrinsic geographical core qualities.The core quality of geography mainly includes comprehensive thinking,regional cognition,coordination of man-earth and geographic practices.The four major aspects are the stable psychological qualities that learners gradually develop in the long-term geography learning process.However,there are still many problems in the cultivation of geographical core qualities.For how to cultivate geographical core qualities,especially the junior core students' geography core qualities,there is no specific research in the academic fields.How to effectively cultivate junior students' geographical core qualities is a matter of urgent problem.Junior middle school stage to cultivate students' core geographic literacy contributes to students' all-round development and the improvement of teachers' teaching level,to promote the reform of the current geography teaching,so as to deepen the development of geography.The author found that students through the questionnaire and teacher interview,affected by the current exam-oriented education ideas and teaching evaluation mechanism,more focused on the geographical knowledge itself,flexible application of geographic knowledge not,four sorts of core geographic literacy ability development not balanced,the geographical practice force is generally weak.Most of the teachers are still traditional teaching methods due to the full teaching period,and the cultivation of the geographical core quality has no time to take into account.The school has not paid enough attention to the geography subject,the class schedule is less,the geographical supporting facilities are not perfect,and the teacher has better development of the geography core accomplishment.This paper starts with the four elements of geographical core literacy and puts forward corresponding strategies for schools and teachers.Schools should fundamentally attaches great importance to the geography,appropriately increased geography class and teachers,teachers organize regular training,still should build corresponding supporting facilities,create a good learning atmosphere,etc.Geography teachers should improve their teaching level unceasingly,insight into the physiological and psychological characteristics of middle school students,pay attention to the cultivation of the students'ability of reading,guide students to use the geographical perspective on problems,teachers need to dare to break the limitation of traditional classroom,open up "the second classroom",so as to cultivate the students' geographic practice.
