cultivation of students' core literacy.This paper uses a questionnaire survey,observation method,and statistical analysis method to investigate the current situation of high school students' geographic core knowledge learning in a high school in Jian'an District of Xuchang City.It finds that there are some problems in the learning process of high school students in the core knowledge of geography.The interest in geography core knowledge learning is not high;students lack good preparation habits and note-taking habits;students' ability to produce learning goals and plans is not strong;students do not pay attention to summarizing the laws and methods of core knowledge points;The memory efficiency is not high;students lack effective management of time;students' retelling ability is not strong;review efficiency is not high;students do not know much about the application value of geographical core knowledge;students' self-monitoring ability is not strong and so on.Finally,reasonable suggestions are given from the two perspectives of how students use learning strategies to learn geographic core knowledge and how to promote students to use appropriate learning strategies to learn geographic core knowledge.In the theoretical sense,it is conducive to enriching and developing the core knowledge theories and enriching the theory of core literacy cultivation in China.In a practical sense,it is conducive to promoting the cultivation of students' core qualities;it is conducive to improving the professional knowledge and teaching ability of teachers;it is
