The Practice Research To Enhance The Family Resilience Of Amblyopic Children

In recent years,amblyopia has become one of the major diseases that affect children's eye health.During the prolonged and difficult recovery process,it needs the joint efforts of the medical institution,children's family,school and the social community.The family,in particular,who takes the first responsibility in affecting children's socialization should play the major role in the treatment and recovery of children with amblyopia.It is imperative to introduce medical social work and develop professional family services for children with amblyopia to compensate the limitation of the traditional single medical pattern.Based on the theory of family resilience,combined with cognitive behavior theory and social support theory,this paper evaluates the pressure and dilemma faced by families of amblyopic children by using action research,case study and evaluation method,and focusing on the three major elements of family resilience to design a practice program.First,from the perspective of “optimism” within the family,it cultivates positive parent-child relationships through the means of listening and encouraging,training relaxing skills,relieving psychological tension and stress,promoting positive optimism,and enhancing internal communication within the family.Second,from the perspective of "self-efficacy”,it facilitates the understanding and practical use of amblyopia recovery knowledge for both parents and children.At the same time,it strengthens the effective training skill of parents during the treatment and recovery process,thus enhancing the family's sense of self-efficacy.Third,within the perspective of "sense of belonging" from the external support,it carries out the parent workshop to build the informal social support network for families with amblyopic children.Meanwhile,we should foster a good relationship between doctors and patients,improve the social support of medical staff to families with amblyopic children.Action research attaches great importance to the reflection of the practical process and knowledge construction.This study evaluates and reflects the effectiveness of practical intervention from the principles of methodology,appropriateness,and sustainability.First,the approach of practical group work helps to enhance the external support to the family.Secondly,in the implementation process of each service link,it is necessary to design targeted interventions and service methods based on the scientific assessment of the intervened families and respect the principle of flexibility to provide appropriate service.Finally,it is of great importance to integrate amblyopia related knowledge into family's daily life,extend the practical intervention within the family to the outside,from a single medical treatment pattern to a systematic promotion of family resilience,and provides sustainable social support for disadvantaged children and families.
