| In recent years,the family fostering model for orphans and disabled children has developed rapidly and has gradually become a hot issue in the academic community.Social work in children’s services has gradually turned from a problem perspective to an advantage perspective.Resilience has become a new model of social work practices.In foster care,foster children face many dilemma,such as strong negative attitude,a strong mentality,low sense of efficacy,weak social support,and lack of a sense of belonging.However,social work services with improved resilience are less involved in fostering children.In this context,the study carried out social work service for children fostered by Nanjing Children’s Welfare Institute.The "Kang Ni Tian Shi”social work service project was used as an example to analyze the protective factors of foster children and the risk factors.Besides,the reserch answers:How do the foster children’s resilience improve?How to carry out social work practice services?What is the role of resilience in fostering children?Combining project experience and deficiencies,propose measures and suggestions for the practice of fostering children’s resilience.This study used qualitative research-based,quantitative research-assisted research methods,including conduct semi-structured interviews(19 children and child welfare service workers),field observations,and issue of family foster care questionnaires(55 foster parents).Using these methods of collecting data to understand the status about fostering and the needs of foster children.Throughout the entire service process,with the help of professional methods of social work,follow the principle of informed consent,confidentiality,objective neutrality,and no harm,and serve foster children through case work and group work.On this basis,the entire practice service is analyzed about the design,the process,and the outcome.The assessment of intervention effectiveness is based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods,process assessment,and results assessment to assess the resilience of migrant children.The study found that the protective factors for foster children include the fostering and care of foster families,the mutual support of foster children’s homogeneity groups,the institutional guarantees of welfare institutions,and the friendly social environment;the risk factors for foster children have physical defects that result in inferiority of foster children.Negative feelings,the lack of interpersonal skills of foster children,weak ability to actively solve problems,weak emotional insights and expression skills,weak sense of purpose,and discrimination of peer groups.After evaluation,the resilience of foster children needs to be mainly focused on:the need for establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships;the need to establish correct self-awareness;and the need for a sense of belonging in schools and communities.The social work service promoted by resilience has an impact on the client at both the individual and the family level:for foster children,the sense of optimism,belonging,and efficacy are all improved to a certain extent.For the family,it is beneficial to Parents raise parenting and educate children in foster care.On the basis of this practical service,three suggestions for the service of rural foster children are put forward,including the establishment of personal files for foster children,strengthening the social participation of foster children,and giving lectures on special children’s psychological knowledge.This project has obvious practical effects on rural family foster care services.This study has developed a social work analysis framework and practical projects based on the theory of resilience.At the same time,it has significant research significance and practical results for rural family child foster care research and social work practice. |
