Families with down’s syndrome face more difficulties and challenges than ordinary children’s families. Some families have been living in the negative influence of "children with down’s",while others are able to "live as usual" and adapted. Why do some parents get on with their lives? Why are they have resilience? How can we help maladjusted families improve their resilience? In order to explore these issues, this study adopts qualitative research method and considers the family resilience of down’s children under the framework of social ecology theory.Taking life routines as a window to show family resilience, the characteristics of family life routines at different levels of resilience were explored, and then the reasons for the differences between high and low resilience family life routines were analyzed. In this study,13 parents were selected as interviewees, and data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, observations and other methods. In the data analysis, subject analysis method was used to analyze the data under the guidance of social ecology theory. The research conclusions are as follows:1.The birth of children with down’s syndrome will have an impact on the life routine, but the life routine of the family with high resilience has been adjusted to be more suitable for the family, ensuring the better development of family life.Specifically, highly resilient families are characterized by the following:(1)They can meet and balance the needs of each family member;(2)Can take care of children;(3)Reasonable division of family responsibilities;(4)the life routine has the strong stability and the predictability. On the contrary, the conventional characteristics of families with low resilience are:(1)The needs of family members cannot be satisfied and balanced;(2)Trapped by the responsibility of care;(3)Unreasonable division of family responsibilities;(4)Poor routine stability and predictability of family life.2.According to the data obtained from the mining interview, this study find that the main factors affecting the resilience can be divided into internal factors, external factors and interactive factors.Family internal factors include family economic status, family relations, parents’ cognition and children’s development status;external factors mainly include services and support obtained;interactive factors include social participation and social acceptance.Based on the above conclusions, this paper has the following Suggestions for improving the resilience of down’s children and families:at the government level,it is necessary to improve the placement measures for the disabled after school age, reduce their worries, optimize the service system for the disabled, and make it more efficient and convenient for families with special children to apply for services. At the family level, parents should try reasonable cognition and learn to adjust their emotions. In daily life,we should pay attention to the education and training of down’s children’s life skills. Finally,at the institutional level, institutions should try to diversify family support services and consider the integration of child treatment activities with family life routines.
