Research On College Students' Consciousness Of Public Morality And Its Cultivation

As the important content of civic virtues,public morality is the basic morality that people should abide by in the field of public life.To a certain extent,citizens' level of public morality reflects the degree of social civilization.College students are the main force in building socialism with Chinese characteristics,cultivating their consciousness of public morality is conducive not only to improving their ideological and moral quality and realizing the all-round development of the individual,but also to constructing a new civilized and harmonious campus,leading the social fashion and improving the civilization of the whole society.Based on this,the paper studies college students'consciousness of public morality and the countermeasures that how to cultivate.The full text is divided into three parts:The first part mainly revolves around "what is it".The consciousness of public morality refers to people's stable and lasting views and attitudes towards the content and phenomenon of public morality in the long process of public life practice.It consists of five basic elements:politeness consciousness,helping others consciousness,public property consciousness,environmental consciousness and law-abiding consciousness.Cultivating college students' consciousness of public morality is conducive to improving the ideological and moral quality of college students and realizing the all-round development of individuals;building a new civilized and harmonious campus and promoting the construction of spiritual civilization in colleges and universities;leading the social fashion and raising the level of social civilization.The second part mainly revolves around "the question and reason".With the questionnaire adjustment method,the paper investigates the five contents of college students' consciousness of public morality and finds out the main problems:the politeness consciousness has the deviation and its' behavior ability is insufficient;helping others consciousness is strong,but can't put into action;public property consciousness is not strong;environmental consciousness is weak;cognitive and emotional performance of law-abiding consciousness is better,but its' behavioral ability is poor.On this basis,the paper systematically analyzes the reasons in themselves,family,school and society.The third part mainly revolves around "how to do it".This part mainly study the counitermeasures of cultivating college students' consciousness of public morality:strengthening the consciousness of cultivating college students' public morality;improving the education of public morality in colleges and universities;paying attention to education of public morality in family;optimizing the social environment.
