Trigonometric function is an important part in both junior and senior high school mathematics curriculum.Starting from trigonometric function in Chapter One Book four,it runs to more chapters,such as trigonometric identity,solving a triangle and polar coordinate system.Besides,it has a strong relationship with vector,physics,life practice and is also an essential in college entrance examination.As the only one-to-many function in high school period,trigonometric function is the periodic function students have encountered for the first time.The mathematical thought method contained in the trigonometric function is very important,extending to many chapters of the high school mathematics textbooks.And a large amount of practical experience shows that students in Grade 10 ha,ve difficulty wih it.Therefore,this study will discuss the convergence teaching of trigonometric function in mathematics teaching.Taking Yicheng NO.1 Middle School,Hubei Province as an example,the author interviewed some math teachers and conducted a questionnaire with students in Grade 10.The reasons why students in Grade 10 have difficulty with it are as follows:(1)Related knowledge in junior high school has a negative effect on it;(2)Trigonometric function is difficult and scattered;(3)Students stick to passive learning method;(4)Some teachers emphasized the conclusion rather than the process.The students' difficulties in learning trigonometric functions are mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)The trigonometric function values of special angles can not be remembered;(2)The formulas are not remembered;(3)Students are mot skilled in the application of graphs and properties;(4)Students do not understand how unit circle defines trigonometric function;(5)It is easy for students to ignore multiple solutions of trigonometric function and arbitrariness of angle range;(6)students have poor calculation ability.On the basis of the research above and my own teaching practice,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)Teachers carefully study the curriculum standards and teaching materials to grasp the teaching requirements;(2)Teachers and students link learning strategies between junior and senior high school;(3)Teaching methods can be flexible,such as from special to general,from specific to,step by step teaching;strengthen mathematical modeling and improve students' interest in mathematics learning;innovation and assimilation,contaet the reality of life;integrate the history of mathematics and culture of mathematics into the teaching of trigonometric functions;attach importance to the connection of relevant mathematical thinking and methods;(4)Students'operational ability is to be enhanced;(5)Use information technology to promote the coherence of trigonometric function teaching in junior and senior high schools;(6)Increase the communication between junior and senior high school teachers.
