Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,Yunnan Province has actively responded to the call of the Ministry of Education to develop bilingual teaching in minority areas,and it has made great achievements.However,during field trips,the author found that the Red River,as one of the population centers of the Yi nationality in Yunnan Province,has not achieved satisfactory results in Chinese language teaching——The teaching method is single,the use of teaching materials is unreasonable,the Chinese learning environment is lacking,and the literacy of students is generally low.Therefore,the author focuses on the actual effect of Chinese literacy teaching of Yi nationality,makes a field investigation on the present situation of Yi children's literacy teaching,and finds out the problems existing in it.Inspired by the multimedia etymological literacy teaching system proposed by Professor Xu Tao,it was conjectured that the use of multimedia etymological literacy in the Yi region could improve the current situation of local literacy teaching and solve the problem of “literacy difficulties”to some extent.Then the author demonstrated the feasibility and necessity of the method from the theoretical level.At the same time,based on the previous achievements of the predecessors and the actual situation of the Yi nationality,this paper constructed a general model for the design of multimedia etymological literacy in elementary schools in the Yi region.On the practical level,the central primary school in Jiangbian Township,Honghe Prefecture was selected as the experimental site to carry out specific teaching experiments,and teaching evaluation was conducted in real time and comprehensively to collect data to improve the instructional design.The main methods of this research are experimental research method,literature research method,interview method and observation method.The experimental results show that the use of multimedia etymological literacy in primary school of the Yi nationality can not only improve the students' ability to read,write and express their Chinese characters,but also can effectively train students' thinking ability and stimulate their learning interest.This result also further validates that the instructional design model constructed in this study is scientific and effective,it can be used as a reference for multimedia literacy teaching in the Yi region.
