Mathematical symbolic language is one of the necessary tools for mathematics learning and animportant part of mathematics.Mathematical symbolic language is the foundation for students to learn algebra and geometry knowledge in secondary school.This research is based on semiotics,linguistics,cognitive structure theory,and the relatedteaching theories.It is guided by the relevant academic achievements in the study of mathematicalsymbolic languages at home and abroad,combined with the current situation of primary school mathematics teaching investigations,using the literature analysis method,physical survey methods,questionnaire surveys,interviews,research on the use of primary school mathematics symbol language and teaching methods.This study focuses on the specific issues of the background,meaning,representation,correctreading and writing,and practical application of mathematical symbols.It investigates the use of:mathematics symbol language for primary school students and analyzes the findings.Research shows that the consequences of these problems are more serious.Because some teachers do not paymuch attention to the training of basic skills during the teaching process,the teaching process lacksof standardization,and the lack of formalization of the language,symbolic language,and graphicallanguage in the teaching process affects the teaching effect.Specifically,some teachers do not fully understand the meaning of mathematical symbols;some teachers do not read or write the mathematical symbols;some teachers neglect the training of symbolic language while teaching some teachers do not take into account the contents and forms of mathematical symbols.Thismakes most students have the following problems:some students do not understand the meaning of mathematical symbols;some students use the mathematical symbols are not standardized;some students do not have strong ability to transform the text language,symbol language,and graphiclanguage;some students have mathematical symbols Lack of use of language,lack of training inpeacetime.Based on the research,this article gives the following suggestions:In the mathematics teachingprocess,we must pay attention to the transformation of practical problems into the teaching of mathematics language;both teachers and students must accurately understand the content ofmathematical symbols,and pay attention to the use of symbolic language in the teaching process.We must strictly regulate the use of mathematical symbolic languages,standardize the reading andwriting of symbols,develop good learning habits of mathematical symbolic languages,and strengthen the mutual transformation between three languages,such as literal language,symboliclanguage,and graphic language.
