The elementary and middle school period is critical to shape one's views of life and world and value system as well as to make one's faith and morality come into being.As China's modernization and industrialization advances,the formation and development of ideology and morality of elementary and middle school students in rural areas has come into a prominent subject facing ideological and political education.We try to analyze and reveal status of left behind children in Guangxi rural areas and reflect problems in their ideological and moral education based on survey.To have a full understanding of ideological and moral educational status of left-behind children in Guangxi rural areas and carry out relevant educational activities more purposively,a investigation team studying status of left behind number of 3654 children in Guangxi rural areas launched surveys in January and February in 2017,during which college students volunteers in Guangxi were called on to bring self-compiled Questionnaire on Status of Left Behind Elementary and Middle Students in Rural Areas to their origins and one-to-one guided left behind children to complete the questionnaire and then the team sampled the survey questionnaires.At the same time,the team held face-to-face talks over the issues related to ideology and moral education of rural left behind children with 16 teachers and 16 students from seven rural elementary and middle schools covering seven prefecture-level cities:Nanning,Qinzhou,Beihai,Hechi,Hengxian,Laibing and Hezhou.The survey and research covered Nanning,Chongzuo,Liuzhou,Laibing,Guilin,Wuzhou,Hezhou,Yulin,Guigang,Baise,Qinzhou,Hechi,Beihai and Fangchenggang,and sampled the surveys of left behind children in Hengxian.The team applied SPSS20.0 to quantitative statistics and analysis of questionnaire.The survey found out some problems needed to be addressed over left behind students in Guangxi as follows : guardians lack guardianship;weak parental-child contact needs to be strengthened;peers do sometimes negatively impact on their development;teacher-student relationship remains to be enhanced,and so on.To existing problems facing ideology and morality of rural leftover students,the paper analyzes reasons toproblems from four aspects of family,school and social environment,and puts forward measures accordingly.The paper can be divided to three parts except introduction and conclusion.The first part illustrates the survey samples over basic ideology and morality of leftover students involving daily life,study and social contact.Combing relevant interview materials,the paper puts forward basic conclusions and striking problems.The second part gives explanations to problems of rural leftover children moral education and development from aspects of family,school and social environment.The third part raises measures to strengthen and improve ideological and moral education in rural school.The measures mainly focuses on improving family education,fully playing the role of school education and creating a better social environment for leftover students to breed fine moral quality.
