A Study On Stress Relief Of Carers For People With Mental Retardation Through Group Work

The group of people with mental retardation is the blind spot of current policy and social forces,yet the group is now under pressure from society,family and itself.In the absence of social service and the heavy burden of life circumstances,the team work appeared in the intellectual disabilities caregivers,aggregate them up,and given the opportunity in the face of pressure,make communication each other between team members and help,and thus the establishment of good relations between the team members play a role in promoting.Group work can help each other between the team members,to the pressure,deal with affairs ability training,so that they can to ease the pressure,stressful events can deal with for the future.According to the author in this paper A summer internship at A C city agency to master the situation of the observation and the social hot spots,in C city A agency,for example,using the method of literature research,the semi-structured interview and questionnaire survey for data collection,analysis of the intellectual disabilities cause of caregiver stress and its requirements.In the social support network theory and social learning theory under the guidance of the design of the targeted group activities,organized A institutions have a way to relieve stress demand of intellectual disabilities caregivers involved in called "know yourself,release pressure,embrace the future" of the group activities.Finally through questionnaire survey and participatory observation on team effectiveness and team performance evaluation,through the evaluation found that <ZBI Burden Interview,ZBI>before and after the measurement values are decreased after the trait coping style questionnaire,the test <Trait Coping Style Questionnaire,TCSQ>to be positive response,the amount of <Perceived Social support Scalia,PSSS>after the test data are increased,that through team work,intellectual disabilities caregivers set up the confidence in the future,can face life positively,had come from outside the family's social support,stress to get some relief.Based on this result,the author also reflection after the summary to the team work in intellectual disabilities research,caregiver stress relieving respectively from consolidating social support,family support,strengthening the professional social workers and power forward policy advice,to give a social worker with the help of team work in mental retardation family caregivers activities involved in put forward some Suggestions,in order to social work in the future can better service and alleviate the pressure of the intellectual disabilities caregivers,meet their needs.
