Applied Research Of Group Social Work In The Improvement Of Negative Emotions In Parents Of Mentally Handicapped Children

In recent years,many problems faced by mentally handicapped children and their families have received academic attention,but there are relatively few practical and research studies on specific intervention.This study is based on a mental disabilities service center internship experience in Lanzhou,based on the theory of rational emotion,negative emotions to mental handicap children parents as the breakthrough point,using semi-structured interview methods of mental handicap children parents mood status and causes of negative emotions make in-depth investigation and study,on the basis of combining the results of research object needs assessment,choose rational emotional therapy group social work intervention programme was designed,try to through the social work intervention to improve mental handicap children to the parents' negative mood,so as to explore the role,limitations and possible paths of social work in the intervention of negative emotions in parents of mentally handicapped children.The results show that parents of mentally disabled children are not optimistic about their emotional status,which is mainly manifested in five aspects: tension,anger,fatigue,depression and panic.The causes of negative emotions among parents of mentally disabled children are: 1.Heavy physical burden;2.Unreasonable thinking and belief;3.The relationship between family members is not harmonious;4.The behavior of the child does not meet the psychological expectations of the parents;5.Imperfect support system.Through the practical intervention of group work and rational emotion therapy to the negative emotions of parents of mentally disabled children,the negative emotions of parents of mentally disabled children have been improved to some extent.Therefore,the research conclusion is that: 1.Group work plays a certain role in solving the negative emotional problems of parents of mentally disabled children.2.The combination of rational emotional therapy and group work can help parents of mentally disabled children better improve negative emotions.3.Explore to improve personal belief system as the breakthrough point,through the negative emotions release,improving methods and skill learning,and establish rational belief system,strengthening mental handicap children parents inner strength,and to maintain a positive mental attitude is one of the feasible and effective mental handicap children parents negative emotion to improve team work path.In addition,in order to help parents of mentally disabled children completely solve the negative emotional problems,in addition to the individual social work intervention,but also through the joint efforts of the family,society and the government.
