Rural primary education is the basis of rural education, and rural primary school teachers are even more important. This article mainly uses the interview method, observation method and literature method. The author goes deep into a rural elementary school in A town,Luliang City,Shanxi province to conduct a case study. From the perspective of professional identity, the author analyzes the status quo and the reasons behind the persistence and loss of rural primary school teachers.First of all,it analyzes the characteristics and influencing factors of adherence to teachers' high degree of professional identity. They are generally motivated to choose the careers, they have strong professional emotions, and have a high level of professional identity.Their adherence to the countryside is mainly the realization of the unity of personal ideals and social values. In the process of growing up,they took their teachers as an example, and from a young age they had a firm belief in contributing to rural education. The higher social prestige of the teachers supported their adherence to this concept while they were in rural communities. The internet also needs them to stay in the countryside. The article analyzes the characteristics and influencing factors of the low level of professionajjjl identity ofteachers who have left rural school. Most of these teachers have no clear career planning, they are forced to choose this profession. They lack of sense of responsibility and sense of mission in education. The reason for their ultimate leaving is that under the dual system of urban and rural China, the distribution of resources between urban and rural areas is seriously uneven, the education resources in rural areas are lacking, and the media's misrepresentation of rural teachers further deteriorates the professional social environment of rural teachers, and families cannot support and understand them, which weaken their professional identity; There is a conflict between the commitment of family roles and their professional concepts.Rural teachers have heavy work burdens and invisible working hours. It is difficult to take into account the roles of parents, couples, and children, causing family conflicts. Finally, through the above comparison,it can be seen that the main reason for the current loss of rural primary school teachers is the external environment, and the teachers who stick to the countryside rely more on individual strong professional identity, that is,the support of personal beliefs. They are currently the main force of rural education. It needs more attention and support from the state and society. This study analyses main factors that affect professional identity, and proposes to strengthen the professional identity of rural primary school teachers through self-improvement,policy encouragement and social support as well as the improvement of the school personnel management system.
