Teachers professional identity refers to the degree of recognition for their personal occupation, is the formation of cognition and performance about professional behavior in the working process by teachers. Related research about teachers’ professional identity in recent years has become a hot topic in the field of teacher culture in our country, but the research on PE teachers’ professional identity, especially when the country attaches great importance to the rural basic education, the research on rural sports teachers’ professional identity has not yet form a specialized and systematic research, and it still lack of targeted empirical studies and related theories.In this paper, through the literature review, expert interview and on-the-spot investigation method, the author combined with three years of work experience the laifeng country in Enshi,held in-depth interviews survey of rural elementary and middle schools, comprehensive, draw lessons from the pedagogy and psychology theory research about teachers’ professional identity, with the aid of journals and other media network, through field investigation, analysis of enshi LaiFeng County rural primary and middle school PE teachers’ professional identity by interviewing the typical physical education teachers. Through the investigation and study we can find that, fristly, the degree of recognition for their personal occupation in LaiFeng County school physical education teachers professional identity in general is above average degree. Second, the rural primary and secondary school physical education teachers emotional and continuous identification are relatively low. Third, some of the school PE teachers also teach other subjects, and other inprofessional teachers teach other subjects. According to the important problems the laifeng country in Enshi rural primary and secondary school physical education teachers professional identity, put forward the strategies of how to upgrade physical education teachers professional identity rural in primary and secondary school.This study uses the literature research, questionnaire investigation and interview, and intervided the teachers the laifeng country in Enshi by questionnaire and interview. Research in total is divided into three parts, the first part according to the actual situation of enshi LaiFeng County rural areas and the research to determine the significance of research ideas and methods, the second part according to the actual LaiFeng County rural teachers’ professional identity, to enact and amend the questionnaire and interview questions, the third part analysis according to the content of the questionnaire and interview to put forward their own thinking and suggestion.
