Qualitative Research On Field Spectator Emotional Catharsis

With the development of professional leagues,the field spectators have increasingly grown into a large social group.In recent years,the conflicting events of the filed spectators happened frequently.The stands have become a place for some spectators to vent their emotions and attack.The emotional catharsis of the field spectators is not only detrimental to the healthy development of the league,but also a hidden danger to the field spectator violence.In this paper,on the basis of literature researches,a depth interview and participatory observation are used to talk about the emotional catharsis problems of field spectators.Apart form this,based on the qualitative analysis,the collected interview data are analyzed to explore the content,mode,characteristics,behavior classification and occurrence situation of the emotion catharsis of the field spectators.Finally,the study make elaborate discussions to the mode and specific strategies of the field spectator emotional catharsis.The results are showed as follows:(1)The emotional catharsis of the field spectator is defined as the process of the field spectators release or discharge the strong emotion by using the words,actions,etc.(2)The emotional catharsis of the field spectator is characterized by situational,infectious,directivity and clustering,and its influencing factors include external factors and internal factors.The form of the catharsis of the field spectator is the process of the field spectators produce specific emotional expression behavior with strong physiological and psychological reactions under the influence of the stimulation and individual cognitive activity,which is one of the performance of the cluster behaviors.(3)According to the type,pattern and reasonable degree of the catharsis of the field spectators of CBA in Taiyuan division,the study makes an one-dimension classification to the catharsis of the field spectators,which is divided into positive emotional catharsis,negative emotional catharsis,verbal expression,action expression,reasonable catharsis and the unreasonable of anger.And on this basis,combining with one-dimension classification of CBA in Taiyuan division,the study makes a three-dimensional classification to the catharsis of the field spectators,and put forward the three dimensions of field spectators emotional intensity of 8 classes.There are some categories doesn’t exist,such as unreasonable words,action the positive emotion of anger.Finally,from the operating level and system level is put forward to guide the CBA league Taiyuan field spectators reasonable emotional catharsis of concrete policies.
