In 2013,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to jointly establish a cooperation initiative entitled "The Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" or "Belt and Road" for short.It urged Yunnan to take advantage of its unique geographical advantages and strengthen cooperation and exchanges with neighboring countries in the field of humanities so as to form a new platform for economic exchanges and cooperation among South and Southeast Asian countries.Education,as a part of cultural exchange,is an important form of promoting common people.Vocational education,as an important part of education,shoulders the important responsibility of training diversified personnel,inheriting technical skills and promoting employment and entrepreneurship.Yunnan has the geographical advantage of being adjacent to South Asia and Southeast Asia.The development of internationalization of vocational education has become the general trend of the times.It is a realistic demand for Yunnan Education to take the initiative to integrate into the Belt and Road initiative.The research on the internationalization of higher vocational education meets the needs of the national strategy of "One Belt and One Road";meets the inherent needs of the construction of modern vocational education system;meets the needs of the professional development of higher vocational teachers and is of great importance in promoting the internationalization of higher vocational education The significance and the internationalization path of education are the realistic needs of the international development of higher vocational education in border areas of Yunnan.The thesis mainly includes five parts.The first part is the introduction,which analyzes the background,purpose and significance of the research and the research methods.The second part is literature review and theoretical support.It analyzes the concept of higher vocational education,the internationalization of higher vocational education and the internationalization of higher vocational education in border ethnic areas.Based on the analysis of the causes and background of the internationalization of higher vocational education,,Theelements of internationalization and the development path of the four aspects of in-depth analysis of higher education in Yunnan international standards put forward new requirements.The third part is about the internationalization of higher vocational education in ethnic minority areas of Yunnan border.It conducts an analysis on the geographical location and ethnic origin of Yunnan,the historical friendship with the neighboring three countries(Myanmar,Laos,Vietnam)and Yunnan's international advantages Analysis,from the external environment,education policies and other analytical Yunnan border nationalities higher occupation education internationalization development.The fourth part is a case study,and aims at the internationalization of education in Xishuangbanna Vocational and Technical College.From the five aspects of internationalization of higher vocational education(internationalization at strategic level,internationalization of personnel,internationalization of teaching activities,Internationalization of Cooperative Projects and Transformation of Achievements)to examine the internationalization of higher vocational education in frontier minority areas and to analyze the successful experience and difficulties in the internationalization of higher vocational education in frontier minority regions according to questionnaires and interviews.The fifth part is to improve the path of internationalization of higher vocational education in ethnic minority areas in Yunnan Province.According to the investigation and analysis,the existing problems such as the narrow scope of internationalization of specialized colleges and universities,the immature internationalization mechanism,the lack of top-level design of state colleges and universities and other issues,Put forward the establishment of Yunnan Vocational Education Alliance,improve the international certification system of education,and improve the top-level design co-ordination of Yunnan's international development of higher vocational education path strategy.The paper explores the strategic path of internationalization of higher vocational education in Yunnan border ethnic areas and provides reference for the internationalization of higher vocational education in Yunnan and contributes to the enhancement of the internationalization of higher vocational education.
