Teachers' vocational competence is an important part of teachers' quality structure and a key element to evaluate teacher's expertise.Vocational competence is the core element for the profession of teacher,it is a distinctive competence from other occupational fields and the core competitiveness of students in job market.Currently,Chinese education is not paying enough attention to the vocational competence in the cultivation of normal university students.Primary education major is lack of obvious advantage in the job hunting.Therefore,this research contends that the cultivation of vocational competence of undergraduates majoring in primary education is an urgent issue to be solved.Around this issue,this research has concentrated itself on the following aspects.To start with,the paper conducts literature review of domestic and overseas research on the vocational competence construction of primary school teachers.According to the relevant national policy and literature including Primary School Teachers' Vocational Competence Standard,Primary and Secondary School Teacher Qualification Examination Standard from Ministry of Education and Teachers' Education Curriculum Standard,Implementation Measures for Normal College Teachers' Vocational Certification,the paper establishes a vocational competence framework for application-oriented undergraduates majoring in primary education,including seven aspects: teaching design competence,teaching implementation competence,education and teaching evaluation competence,class management and education organization competence,education communication and cooperation competence,teaching reflective competence as well as teaching and research competence.Also,the paper interprets the necessity and importance of cultivating the vocational competence of students majoring in primary education are from theperspectives of vocational education theory and competence theory.Second,this paper introduces and analyzes the vocational competence training experience of education major students in three foreign primary schools,such as Oakland university,Taipei municipal university and Hainan normal university.The research shows that all three universities adopt the concept of practical orientation and implement it into the curriculum to cultivate students' vocational competence.For example,the internship program of education major of Oakland university runs through the three-year courses to cultivate students' teaching implementation ability,class management and education organizing ability.Taipei city university closely combines the study of teaching law courses with practice activities to cultivate students' teaching implementation ability.Similarly,Hainan normal university cultivates teaching implementation ability,class management and education organizing ability by combining theory with practice.In addition,Hainan normal university develops students' ability of reflection by formulating rules and regulations.Finally,this study aims at problems of vocational competence existing on primary school education major of Yunnan Normal University,and provide proposes corresponding countermeasures based on the experience of domestic and foreign countries.First,refine the implementation plan of vocational capacity and establish professional competence goals.The college should further refine the program of vocational competence,and guide students to clarify their vocational competence objectives through explicit and invisible channels.Second,modularize the curriculum and combining competency development and interest.In order to adapt to the development trend of general teachers,we advocate the modular curriculum and strengthen the competence of multi-science and education.In the course implementation,pay attention to the combination of theory and practice,and payattention to training students' competence to use knowledge.In combination with the status quo of Yunnan multi-ethnic group,special courses with regional minorities should be added.Third,the first and second classrooms are seamlessly connected to strengthen the cultivation of vocational competence.In order to achieve the goal of cultivating application-oriented undergraduate talents,we focus on the vocational competence,establish the competence training center and conduct vocational skill activities regularly.Fourth,it is necessary to strengthen the training of vocational competence.External practice is an important way for students to improve their vocational competence,and they should constantly improve all aspects of external practice to achieve the expected goal.For example,we should arrange the internship time,perfect the internship system and expand the external practice form.Fifth,strengthen the construction of "double teacher" teachers.It can be combined with "introduction" and "independent" culture.Sixth,establish several cooperative training mechanisms.We will improve the interactive mechanism of talent cultivation in the practice base,and build and implement the "four-in-one" collaborative training mechanism,and keep updating teaching conditions.
