Under the circumstance of the “New Normal” economy,the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure requires a large number of applied technicians and talents.Yet,currently the quality standard of cultivating applied talents is not sufficiently recognized by the colleges and universities,which leads to the fact that the talents are not well qualified for the jobs offered by companies.Therefore,it has been urgent for the common colleges and universities to structure scientific and reasonable quality standard of cultivating applied talents.Adopting the documentary,comparative,interview and investigation methods,this paper firstly generalizes and introduces the quality standard of talents cultivation as well as the experience and implication in America and European countries,and then comparatively analyzes the current study on quality standard of talents cultivation at home.Through the interview and investigation of the typical application-oriented undergraduate colleges and universities in China,the author concludes the problem of talents cultivation caused by the deficiency of standard,and analyzes the necessity of structuring the standard of talents cultivation.Under the guidance that the value orientation of the application-oriented undergraduate education and the standard construction of application-oriented talents cultivation,the quality standard trinity of talents cultivation composed of knowledge,competence and quality is preliminarily structured.To be specific,students from application-oriented colleges and universities are supposed to be well acquainted with the fundamental scientific and cultural knowledge,as well as the professional knowledge;they should mater the core knowledge of professional skills required for their future positions;they should have the comprehensive and general knowledge of solving problems existing in their profession and the society;they should have both the basic and core professional skills which are necessary for their profession;they should be capable of being engaged in the affairs like social activities,interpersonal communication,organization and management,as well as analysis and judgment;they should have the creativity of preliminary technique development and productdesign,as well as the entrepreneurial ability of self-reliance and job-hunting;they should be equipped with the quality of professional knowledge and capability required for their profession;they should have the vocational qualities of showing great interest in their profession,“craftsman spirit” of being passionate in their jobs,and feeling a great sense of responsibly for the society;they should be provided with the essential comprehensive capability,the spirit of preliminary innovation,the thought of entrepreneurship and the personality of creativity.The quality standard trinity of talents cultivation is put into practice in Nanchang Institute of Technology with ideal effects.
