Research On The Characteristics And Influencing Factors Of Basketball Referee Competency In Yunnan

Nowadays,with the vigorous development of basketball,the confrontation is more and more fierce,the speed of attack and defense is gradually speeding up,and the technical and tactical style is evolving.The basketball referee shoulders the important responsibilities,and the standard is also improving and standardizing.The basketball rules and the referee regulations of FIBA make changes every four years or every two years.The referees gradually understand the rules and regulations through the reaction on the spot,and develop and improve it.It is vital to deal well with competitions and minimize the impact of various factors."Competence" mainly refers to an indicator and evaluation system for evaluating a person's ability to complete the work through the efficiency and performance.It originated from Latin,and it has developed with the progress of social economy.After decades of scholars and experts research,the theory of competence is also constantly bringing forth the new.The performance of the people shows the advantages and disadvantages,and it also directly reflects the ability of the subjects.This thesis investigates and researches the referees engaged in League enforcement in Yunnan Province via self-designed questionnaires and data collection.The author introduces concept of competency into the field of basketball referee.First of all,the author investigates the overall situation of the basketball referees in Yunnan,and then gain a good understanding of the overall competency combined with the reality.Various factors will have an impact on the victory.The author sorts collected raw materials and summarize the influencing factors with Factor Analysis.The conclusions as follows:1.The general situation of referees in Yunnan Province is: small population,lack of experience,less experienced for competition,single selection,low education,obvious regional differences,uneven proportion of men and women,complicated occupation background,excessive formalized training,long training cycle,imperfect incentive mechanism,large gap of referee performance,low proportion of high-quality referees.2.The preliminarily constructed referee competency model for Yunnan Provincial League matches consists of six dimensions: on-the-spot referee ability,self-improvement,personal characteristics,professional quality,interpersonal communication and motivation.3.The competency characteristics show obvious differences in gender factors.Local competence of male referees is higher than women,but it does not conform to the main effect.4.Different cultural levels exists differences.The higher of education and culture level,the more obvious characteristics of competency.5.As for on-the-spot referee ability and professional quality,the higher of the level,the more main effect can be produced.6.As for interpersonal relationship and communication,the national level referees are better than the elite referees(national level or above),while in the same condition,the female referee's competency is higher than the male referee.7.There are differences in competition experience,region,occupation and other aspects.The age factor does not produce the main effect,which needs to continue to study and improvement.8.According to Factor Analysis results,there are seven main factors that affect the competency of basketball referees in Yunnan Province: initiative,utilitarianism,interpersonal communication,professional level,social practice,culture and health,personal characteristics.
