As the proportion of residential mobility increases year by year, the change of residence has gradually become an important life event closely related to individuals and society. It is of great significance to explore the impact of residential mobility on individuals and the society. With the improvement of mobility of living, frequent changes in the living space of individuals and the sensitive and vulnerable social relations will inevitably affect our social judgment on strangers in new environments, including interpersonal trust. However,it is still not clear about the relationship between residential mobility and interpersonal trust.Through three studies of four experiments, this research explores the influence and intrinsic mechanism of residential mobility on individual interpersonal trust.Study 1 from an individual point of view, the form of a questionnaire survey to examine whether individual living experience will affect individual interpersonal trust. In the Study 2,based on laboratory experiments,we start with situational materials and explore how residential flow perception affects individual interpersonal trust under the two models of trust judgment and trust behavior. Finally,in the third case, dormitory relocation was taken as an example to carry out on-the-spot investigation and experiment to test the effect of research one and two under the real living and flowing events. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Individuals who experience more residential mobility have significantly lower levels of interpersonal trust. This shows that individual living experience of living will have a negative predictive effect on their trust.(2)Uncertainty perception plays a partial mediating role in the influence of residential mobility on interpersonal trust.Residents' perceptions of mobility will reduce their trust by increasing individual uncertainty.(3)Personality differences play a regulatory role in the relationship between residential mobility and interpersonal trust.High extraversion will weaken the negative impact of residential mobility on interpersonal trust, while high neuroticism will to some extent enhance the negative impact of residential mobility on interpersonal trust. This study is of great significance to the study of psychological post-mortem for the development of residential mobility. It is also expected to provide a scientific basis and reference for the government and relevant departments in formulating the population mobility policy and improving the psychological and behavioral adaptability of individuals living in the city.
