Research On Cheating Monitoring Techniques In Online Examination System

Currently,the online examination way has become more and more popular.In recent years,many companies widely using online examination to recruit talents in the campus recruitment.It is a reformation and expansion to the traditional examination way.It takes advantage of the results of computer technology and network technology,and can organize examinations according to different test requirements quickly and easily.Though it is convenient and efficient,but at the same time,cheating problem is more and more serious and prominent.There are some common cheating means such as look for someone to take the test for him,discuss answer with others at the scene,search answer through the internet,exchange answer through QQ or other communication tools,use U disk or other media to transmission answer,seek answer by phone,discuss the answer by split-screen monitor method,exchange answer through desktop sharing way and so on.So far there have been some methods to solve a part of the above cheating problems.But there is still no coping way to the problem that through QQ,split-screen monitor method to cheat.Aims at the problem that use QQ and split-screen monitor method to cheat,this article will implementation JSP online examing cheating monitoring system by use HTML,CSS,JavaScript,Java,Servlet,Tomcat and MySQL.By the communicates between JavaScript embedded in examing webpage and ActiveX plugin running at examing client system to detect whether there is assigned banning behavior,achieve to monitor the cheating behavior,such as login QQ or insert split-screen monitor.JavaScript controls the switch of the test page and release warning by reading the detect result returned by the ActiveX.This article will emphasis study and complete the following contents to implementation the system,in order to improve and perfect the existing test monitoring system,improve the cheating monitoring effect of the online examination,and improve the fairness of online exams.(1)Develop ActiveX plugin running in IE browser based on the Visual Studio.Implementations the Windows progress scanning program.JavaScript calls process scanning program to judging whether there is a specified program running,such as QQ and so on.(2)As these will be no new progress to run when inserts a additional displayer to computer.So,it must rely on reeding the related value of the registry to judge whether the exminee inserts split-screen monitor.(3)Use the Windows screenshot technology to screen shot examinee desktop and uploads screenshot photos through WinInet FTP protocol to the FTP server when detects a prohibited act,used for cheating evidence or other purpose.The experimental result shows that the cheating detection method implemented by this text can effectively detect the specified prohibited program and do correlative processing to the cheating hebavior.It may further improve the current cheating detection means of the online examination system and will improve the fairness of online exams.
