Children‘s development assessment is an important part of early childhood education,and it is one of the important measures to ensure the quality of early childhood education and promote children‘s learning and development.For children‘s development-oriented evaluation can help educators and parents understand young children's development condition,for the next stage to adopt effective education measures to provide the scientific basis.In recent years,the New Zealand learning story is widely emerging,is a narrative way of evaluation.The New Zealand learning story looks a child as a capable and confident learner and communicator,pays attention to the thing that children can do and interest,records and analyzes the behavior of children.And then provide support for the next step of development.Therefore,using the learning story,the evaluation method in New Zealand,will be conducive to promoting the development of children.The thesis analyzes the current research,interviews eight first-line kindergarten teachers,analyzes fifty-six learning story case,discusses the status quo,problems,causes and countermeasures of kindergarten teachers in applying the learning story.This paper consists of five chapters:Part one: Introduction.It includes the research origin,the purposes and the significance of research,the research review,the conceptual definition,the research method.Part two: Combined with the interview and cases,This paper expounds the present situation of kindergarten teachers in applying the learning story from three aspects: theoretical understanding,practical application(record,identification,response),meaning and challenge.Part three: Analyses the questions of existence by kindergarten teachers on the use of learning story: Kindergarten teachers lack of ability to observe;kindergarten teachers are not effective use of learning story in collective education;there are differences in recording;less attention to the disposition;identify the main single;and the response strategy is simple.Part four: This paper expounds the reasons of the problems in the process of "learning story" from the aspects of subjective and objective aspects: the subjective quality of kindergarten teachers;the shortcoming of learning story;the impact of traditional evaluation methods;kindergarten factor.Part four: The author puts forward some suggestions and ideas about the research,includes depth understanding of learning story,improve the professional level of kindergarten teachers,kindergartens to provide supportive environment,children and parents participate in the evaluation.
