Learning story is a kind of dynamic evaluation model for early childhood education in New Zealand. With the spread of the value of learning story in recent years, many teachers are using learning story to promote their professional ability. However, using learning story to promote preschool teachers’ professional ability is a rising research, The number of the thesis is little, whether it has an real influence on the professional ability of teachers, what kind of problems do the teachers have, how to guide them using more effectively, these current problems must be solve.Aiming at these problems, the author summarize the current research about learning stories and teacher’s professional ability firstly, and then we collect 60 learning stories written by teachers at three kindergartens in Chongqing area, do a data statistics and content analysis. Through the analysis, we discuss these problems of using learning stories to promote their professional ability, investigate the actual effect of learning stories on the professional ability development of teachers by case analysis. At the end of the paper, the author makes a prospect of the future about the study, and puts forward some suggestions and ideas for solving these problems that may exist.This paper consists of seven chapters, in the first chapter, the author describes the research background, research ideas and research status about learning stories and teachers’ professional ability development, the second chapter mainly presents the application of learning stories to promote teacher’s professional ability, the third chapter examines the actual effect on learning stories to promote the teachers’ professional ability. In the fourth chapter, author puts forward some suggestions and ideas about the research.
