With the rapid economic development since the 20 th century,environmental problems are increasingly serious.In order to fundamentally solve the problem of environment and improve people's environmental protection consciousness,all countries in the world have carried out a series of environmental education.Since the 1980's,China's environment education have been in smooth procession,with much effect and experience.In order to build a green ecological campus and improve students' environmental awareness and environmental behavior,Wen Qinglu Elementary School in Ganzhou City,the research object of this paper,has been exploring effective ways and means in environmental education for many years and have gained remarkable achievements,but there remains some weakness in the family environmental education.In order to understand the current situation and the existing shortage of the elementary school environmental education,a questionnaire survey was designed and conducted randomly to some teachers and students in Wen Qinglu Elementary School on the current situation of environmental education in school and in students' families.The questionnaire includes the basics of the teachers and students,information of the development of school and family environmental education,students' environmental knowledge and consciousness,students' expected environmental behavior,views of teachers and students on environmental education,etc.Statistics and analysis of the survey results from the use of statistical software SPSS and Excel shows the status quo of the students' environmental knowledge,environmental awareness,environmental attitude and environmental behavior,and also shows students' personal status and family background,the related degree and the influence strength between the factors of students' environmental awareness,attitude,etc.From the results of the survey,the students' environmental knowledge and consciousness scores 77.6%,and their expected behavior scores 81.7%.The results of the survey show that:First of all,the environmental education in Wen Qinglu Elementary School is worth affirmation,the environmental quality of the teachers and the students have reached a comparatively high level,but it remains to be improved.The students' environmental knowledge is fairly good,but there is some of a lacking in their environmental behavior.Secondly,the activity forms of the school environment education are comparatively simple,and the activities are not much associated with students' life and society,without getting them closer to society and nature.Finally,it can be seen from the data that parents have a significant impact on the child's environment level,but not many families pay enough attention to their environmental education.By analyzing the status quo,the author suggests the following countermeasures to better the environmental education: to continue strengthening discipline penetration;to expand the approaches of environmental education,and actively carry out environmental education activities;to have environmental education closely combined with family education.
