The development of Key Competencies has become one of the hot topics of China's basic education."Mathematical operation " is one of the six Key Competencies of senior high school mathematics.To understand the current situation of mathematics Key Competencies of senior high school students further,I do research on it.In this paper,the study is mainly carried out through the methods of practical teaching,investigation method and literature research and so on.According to high school curriculum standards the definition of the Key Competencies of mathematical operation,by dividing the " Key Competencies of mathematical operation" in the Key Competencies of mathematics into the division of the secondary indexes,the " Key Competencies of mathematics operation" is divided into four dimensions: operation object,operation rule,operation thought,reasoning search.Referring to the division of each core accomplishment by the revision group of high school curriculum standards(i.e.high school graduation level,college entrance examination level,development level)and the Yu ping's division of the Key Competencies of mathematics(i.e.knowledge understanding,knowledge transfer,knowledge innovation),each dimension is divided into four levels,from low level to high level,level 0,level 1,level 2,level 3 respectively.The purpose of this study is to understand the specific performance of every middle school student at each level and the proportion of each level,and know whether they have a good Key Competencies level or not.The results of study show that:(1)The Key Competencies of mathematical operations is divided into four dimensions and each dimension is divided into four levels;(2)The overall situation of the high school students in the Key Competencies of mathematical operations is not ideal.The students are better in the dimension of operation object,algorithm and calculation,and weak in reasoning and exploration dimension.(3)The students of arts and sciences have significant differences in the Key Competencies of mathematical operations.And the science students have a higher grasp of the Key Competencies of mathematics than the liberal arts students.The reason is that the requirement of mathematics calculation is different after the division the of Arts and Sciences.(4)There is no significant difference between male and female students in mathematics Key Competencies.Although the difference is not significant,the datas show that boys are better than girls in all aspects of mathematics Key Competencies.Therefore,it is suggested that high school teachers should pay more attention to the cultivation of the Key Competencies of mathematics and use the concept of "three teaching" to cultivate high school mathematics Key Competencies.
