Chemistry is a discipline based on experiments.The basis of chemistry teaching is chemistry demonstration experiments.The chemistry demonstration experiments are very important in chemistry teaching.Improvements of junior high school chemistry demonstration experiments are very important,too.Improvements of junior high school chemistry demonstration experiments are the basic condition of successful implementation for the teaching reform.This year is the core stage of the 13 th Five-Year Plan,and this period represents a key window of the innovation in chemical demonstration experiments in middle school.We should reform chemical demonstration experiments.This paper mostly use three methods of questionnaire and interview and literature survey to investigate the chemistry demonstration experiment condition in recent junior high school,analyze the research results of the questionnaire and teacher interview to obtain information,and chase down the issues existing in the demonstration experiment in recent junior high school chemistry experiment teaching,optimize and accelerate the demonstration experiment to solve these issues.In this paper we select junior high school chemistry demonstration experiment reforming typical case from the open literature,to analyze research and summing up the basic idea of experimental improvement,methods and skills.After a long stage of carrying out some scientific experiments,we made sure the improved ways of “the determination of Oxygen Volume Fraction in the Air”,“the experiment of search for particle motion” and “the experiment of dust explosion”.We have improved the experimental setup of “the determination of Oxygen Volume Fraction in the Air”.We have improved the experimental program of “the experiment of search for particle motion”.We have improved the laboratory chemicals and experimental setup of “the experiment of dust explosion”.These improvements embody the scientificity,safety,simplicity,environment protecting and novelty.Besides,through the experiment improvement process also can facilitate the chemistry teacher to deep comprehending research,comprehensiveness and innovation of chemical knowledge and related chemical experiment,so as to promote the teachers from the knowledge-base to research type.This paper is divided into four parts to discuss the research on improvements of junior high school chemistry demonstration experiments in shanghai education edition textbooks.The first part: the research background,overseas and domestic research status purpose,purpose,significance and methods.The second part: the concept,classification and principle of improvement of junior high school chemistry demonstration experiments.The third part: demonstration experiment improvement exact case.The fourth part: the results and prospect.
