Geography curriculum standard is the basis of geography textbook compilation?teaching assessment and examination proposition.The establishment of high school geography curriculum standard is a key link in reform of today's geography curriculum.This paper takes the 2016 edition Singapore Geography Teaching Syllabus and our High School Geography Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)as the research object,using literature,descriptive method?comparative method and analytical method.On the basis of introduction of Singapore's educational system and geography curriculum system,it made comparative study on overall framework?curriculum idea?curriculum goal?curriculum content ?teaching and evaluation and recommendations and other aspects of two countries,to provide some.reference for revision of our national further geography curriculum's reform and high school.geography.curriculum standard.Through comparative study,there are these similarities and differences as below:Same Points: first,in overall framework,they both conform to the requirements of the international curriculum' framework;the frameworks of curriculum both arrange contents at different level sand for different purpose.Second,in terms of curriculum concept,they both focus on sustainable development;they both contain the idea of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude;they both encourage student to use a variety of geographical learning methods;they both emphasize on improving students' geographical ability of thinking.Third,on the aspect of goal of curriculum,they both highlight the educational function;both focus on harmony between man and nature?ecological environment and sustainable development.both require students to consider various factors comprehensively,a comprehensive analysis of geographical questions.Students are all required to understand characteristics and difference among different regional environments;both focus on regional geography and inter connections among regions;both stress the cultivation of students' geographical practice.Fourth,in the content,they both compile and arrange content according to the themes.They both satisfy the diverse learning needs of students,taking the relationship between man and nature as the main line,focusing on the issue of sustainable development.Fifth,in advice of teaching and evaluation,both advocate problem-based learning and inquiry learning;both emphasize the evaluation of students' s overall quality;both give advice of proposition.Different Points: first,in overall framework,Singapore is the geography teaching syllabus,our country is the geography curriculum standard;The Singapore Geography Syllabus is composed of three levels: H1? H2 and H3,The geography curriculum standard of our country is to put the content of the whole high school stage on a curriculum standard.Second,in terms of curriculum concept,The presentation is different;the implementation of “satisfies different student development” in our country is inferior to Singapore;geography has a different way of presenting.The presentation of geography quality is different.Third,on the aspect of goal of curriculum,it's a different way of saying it;the hierarchy is different;Singapore puts values first;the specific content of the course objectives is different.Fourth,in the content,the curriculum structure of our country is more detailed;China's natural geography and human geography are divided seriously and geographical inquiry is poor;the arrangement of Singapore curriculum structure is more reasonable;the course content presentation of our country is clearer;the use of behavioral verbs is very different;the content of Chinese curriculum is very difficult,Singapore is short and refined;Singapore pays more attention to studying geography in life;the geography teaching in Singapore is more active in inquiry learning.Fifth,in advice of teaching and evaluation,the discussion on teaching evaluation is different;different ways of testing.On this basis,this paper makes some suggestions for the further reform of high school geography curriculum and the revision of high school geography curriculum standard:(1)In the overall framework,it is necessary to divide our high school geography curriculum standard into different types according to the needs of students;we can add the relevant geography to the four core competencies.(2)In the concept of curriculum,we should implement the concept ofindividualized teaching.Every student should choose their own learning content and future employment direction according to their talents and interests.(3)In the course objectives,it is necessary to increase the explanation and refine the objectives of the course;it is necessary to divide the curriculum objectives of our country properly.The idea of scale can be added to geography textbook writing and geography teaching process.(4)In terms of the content of the course,it is necessary to arrange the content of natural geography and humanistic geography in our country;optimize the geography curriculum structure;in the course content selection should avoid the complex,difficult knowledge points;choose geography and hot topics in our life;we should pay more attention to geographical exploration and focus on cultivating students' comprehensive ability.(5)In teaching and evaluation Suggestions,it is suggested that the number of subjective questions can be increased in teaching evaluation,and the number of objective problems should be reduced.It is suggested that the teaching evaluation in our country can add some concrete evaluation operation criterion.
