High school geography textbooks have changed from only to varioussince the ordinary high school geography curriculum standardissued,according to which different writers developed the textbookcompilation in their own viewpoints. Actually different understandingsof the Curriculum make textbooks of different features, because of whichit is very necessary to do research on the varieties of textbooks.On the basis of Jiangxi Province’s circustances, the auther comparedthe geography textbook compusoryⅡfrom PEP and Sinomap Press. This papermainly analysised the textbook surface system by doing the comparisionfrom three perspectives:text system, activity system and picture system.Firstly, this paper compared these two versions of textbook geograph Ⅱinterms of the chapter arrangement, knowledge points selection, activitiesselection and pictures selection in the form of tables and then brieflyanalysised their learning objects. Secondly, the charactieristics of thethree perspectives of two textbook versions are analysised in this paper.In the end, the author compared the principles of the comprehensive usesof teaching resources and illustrated the principles and methods of thecomprehensive uses of teaching resources in the teaching design withseveral examples.The author used documentary method, comparative analysis approach,statistic method and some other scientific teaching research methods withthe hope of making theoretical and practical sense to the geographytextbooks usage by high school geography teachers in different parts ofJiangxi Province.
