The Assessment On The Mediation Program Under The Perspective Of Social Work

The emergence and rise of mediation programs have played a certainly positive role for solving family conflicts and educating the public.However,there are some deficiencies or flaws can be improved to solve above mentioned problems in the perspective of social work professional evaluation.The chapter takes a program of providing for the aged,which comes from X program of a television station for example.The case compared the difference between social work and mediation programs from three aspects: the ethical principles,the focus of taking the case,and the evaluation of the results.Through comparison,we can concluded that: the ethical differences between social work and mediation programs reflected on three aspects: acceptance,non-judgement,secrecy,and self-determination.The differences between social work and mediation programs are compared from three aspects: the difference between the focus of taking the case,the difference between the involvement of the process of mediation,and the end of the case.The difference of results evaluation between social work and mediation programs reflected on: Satisfaction evaluation and Self-evaluation.By reviewing the text material of a TV station on this program,analyzing of video data,investigating and returning to the relevant staff of the TV station and the owner of the case,finally,the paper has been completed.The results will contribute to mediation program and social work.
