Postgraduate education is the highest level in the structure of higher education and is an important way for our country to cultivate innovative high-quality talents.In recent years,China's political,economic,cultural,and social levels have developed rapidly,and higher demands have been placed on the scale and quality of graduate training in China.The understanding of postgraduate learning and ideological conditions is the basis of postgraduate education reform.This study uses Guangdong Province as a case study to study the learning and ideological status of graduate students during their studies.In order to fully understand the status of the study and development of postgraduate students,this study used a stratified random sampling method to conduct a questionnaire survey of postgraduate students in Province.The results showed that:First,the time postgraduate spent on scientific research needs to be increased.The effectiveness of curriculum needs to be improved and scientific research progress is relatively smooth.Postgraduate study and research time input is the result of the combined effects of graduate study and motivation.The postgraduate stage curriculum needs to be improved,and the degree of satisfaction in the postgraduate study results should be improved.The graduate student thinks that curriculum is not ideal for scientific research and work.The content of postgraduate courses should focus on the improvement of professional knowledge and skills,the content of the courses should meet the professional needs,the academic level of teachers and the teaching skills should meet the needs of graduate students.Postgraduate students in Province have a good research and support environment,such as full guidance from the tutor,scientific research funding,and research platform support.Secondly,the status of postgraduate students in Province as a whole has made positive progress in political and ideological.They generally have the qualities of loving the party and patriotism,but they have problems such as weak social responsibility and utilitarianism.Compared with master graduate students,doctoral students receive less ideological education,and doctoral students have a weaker sense of social responsibility.Due to the a little low appropriate degree of ideological education methods and contents,the effect of ideological education is not satisfactory.Third,the major pressures for graduate students in are academic pressure,economic pressure,and employment pressure.The proportion of interpersonal pressure and marriage pressure is very low.This situation is consistent with the distribution of different types of colleges,degree types,and discipline types.The economic pressure of postgraduate students comes from the fact that the current awardwinning policies do not meet the basic living expenses of graduate students;the employment pressure is relatively small,and the graduate professional values have a certain utilitarian tendency.Employment guidance work in colleges and universities is relatively complete.Graduate students are relatively satisfied with employment guidance work in colleges and universities and generally have higher employment confidence.The study suggests that graduate student training units in Province should continue to focus on improving the study conditions and research environment for postgraduates,improve the tutor guidance system,encourage graduate students to increase investment in research and scientific research,and strengthen innovation in content and form of postgraduate ideological and political education to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education.Improve the postgraduate psychological counseling mechanism,optimize the graduate student award system,enhance the effectiveness of scholarship incentives,improve employment guidance,guide graduate students to establish a correct view of career choice,and constantly reform and innovate to improve the quality of graduate students.
